Celtics are playing like scared little Girls....
They have stopped being aggressive...They have let the Hawks dictate the pace of the game---and it's all on Doc....He's got to let these guys play like they did in the regular season---people say the playoffs are a time to slow it down--but if you look around the league...the teams that run and are aggressive, are WINNING!!

That's exactly what I'm trying to tell you in the other thread, but you say I'm wrong.
Of course we have to run and push the ball, but we can't do it the whole game, and we ESPECIALLY can't do it when they're doing it, because that way we're just doing exactly what they want us to do, give them control of the pace of the game.

These pink Pierce signatures are real clever and everything, and it's great that you guys support breast cancer research but they are massive. Please for the sake of all that is holy, edit them so they fit into the signature guidelines.

Scared little girls? Sounds like the description I'd give to the " please stop posting on our board" Hawk fans after games 1 & 2.
Now you won 2 games and you're gonna start running your lip?
We will see who wins the series.
Nice photoshop job, real appropriate, considering your team hasn't had ANYONE as talented as PP since Dominique.
It's funny how 2 wins can turn a bunch of people who didn't give 2 s**** about their team into superfans all of a sudden.
Who's the "fair-weather fans"?

^^^ What Tricky said.
And this isn't my dad's NBA, where you could give a message-sending hard foul without fear of getting suspended/arrested/publicly crucified by the Stern PR machine and the national media. So there'll be no clotheslining going on, just more hand-wringing and scared play. Pathetic.
Unless the Cs have a total change of heart and the Garden crowd can fire them up!!!!

the playoffs expose weaknesses. Our weakness is that we're a jump shooting team and we're vulnerable to athletic teams like the Hawks. when we move the ball and pass to the open man we're tough to beat but right now we need to start our offense from the inside out. Yes we need more production from Pierce and Garnett but let's not forget that garnett gave us 32 points in game 3 and 20 last night. More than anything we need Pierce to get going. He came out strong last night but was taken out of his game by some silly ( and questionable) calls and he was defniitely bothered by the fine and perhaps the crowd as it showed in his free throw shooting. we are in a dog fight now but that's not a bad thing. If this team is a legitimate contender they will win this series and if they're not then they won't and 66 wins will be of little comfort to anyone. what thing is clear already for next year- we need an athletic big man and a bigger guard. I have been really disappointed in cassell's play and his inability to fit into our pass first shoot second offense. If our bench doesn't start contributing we will lose this series because it's clear to me that the big 3 can't play 40 + minutes a night. They've gotten to used to that cushy 30 minutes and now it's too late for their conditioning to change

KG has singly handedly kept the team in the last 2 games...what more can the guy do? Ray hit some big shots last night, too. The one who is disappointing me is Pierce, although to be fair last night he got **** mauled a few times on the way to the hoop and got no calls. But he was atrocious from the free throw line.

The Celtics have to stop suffering from Detroit Pistons syndrome: feel that they are too dominant to be stopped. Everybody had Boston in 4, 5 tops. The C

^^That Zaza play reminded me of that series in the 1980s when the Sixers Mark Iavaroni got in Bird's face and pissed Bird off so much he got ejected. A tactic Red always hated, the opposing team sending their talentless goon over to take out your best player...that's instantly what came to mind last night when this incident happened.

I think here is where the psychology lies. Before the season started and after the trades were made people were still skeptical about Boston. Yes they were on the cover of SI and other sporting mags, but none of the analysts or experts pegged them to win the title. I remember picking up countless NBA preview issues and I only found one that had Boston making the conference finals, no one even had them in the finals. I mean this was many people saying it.

They didn't to have stepped up after game 3. They tried to step up in game 4, but couldn't. That's sad and disappointing.
KG got outplayed by Josh Smith. Ray Allen got torched by J.J.
Pierce got punked by a rookie at the end of game 3. How did he respond. He went 5-14 in game 4.
It sad to say but the Lakers are way better than this team. They have 2 things that we don't have. They have a superstar in Kobe. They have a very good coach in Phil Jackson.
Also, they have a better 3 in Kobe, Gasol and Odem.
