DeVon Hardin's stock

Post#1 » by CarolinaCash » Tue Apr 29, 2008 1:56 am

What happened to his stock since last year? I remember before he pulled out of the draft last year he was top 13 and now he's in the 2nd round of the mocks. He was supposed to be a nice 6"11 shotblocker. Here's some other guys projected late that I like......Richard Hendrix, Brandon Rush, Joe Alexander, Mo Speights, Joey Dorsey, and Bill Walker.

i guess everyone expected him to develop some sign of an offensive game this year and he didnt. now everyone realizes he will be nothing more than a situational defensive player at best.

I like the idea of Hardin (an aggressive grunt man) but would rather sign Twiggy for a million a year and keep working on him.

I think that he has the potential to be much better (and more durable) than Hardin.

Who else do we have?

Are Okafor/Felton "young guys" or vets at this point?

I can't imagine Larry Brown messing with JRich or Gwall. They are both too... lovable. Right?

Dudley is young, but I'm not worried about him...

I hope that every thread we have over the next few weeks doesn't become a "Larry Brown" thread, regardless of the starting topic!!

Hardin doesn't make any sense for the Bobcats right now. I'm kind of hoping that Joey Dorsey is available when the Bobcats pick. It would be nice to have a "dirty work" guy on this team.

As a CAL hoops fan I thought I would chime in. Hardin was thought by some to be a potential lottery pick this season(at worst a solid 1st rd pick). Unfortunately Hardin has not developed offensively and still gets the majority of his points off of dunks. His footwork is ok and he does have the legit size to bang down low, but right now he remains a project. I think he will impress some in the workouts but based on his production and holes in his game he should go somewhere in the 2nd rd.
