Hawks respect thread

Post#1 » by cfan79 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 5:45 pm

Hawks have earned my respect. I thought they were going to get swept. They've shown themselves to be a solid team with a lot of energy. I have to give props to their crowd too. I've never seen such a pumped up and packed Atlanta crowd.

Atlanta should gain some respect after the two games. It's just nice seeing Atlanta on national tv and providing the NBA world with some fantastic entertainment. Now, I just hope they can do the same on the road, but while it's rare.............I do believe it's going to happen.

and people thought it was unfair that Boston and Detroit were facing Atlanta and Philly. These 2 young teams are giving the veteran teams all they can handle.

I'll second that one. I've been impressed with the whole team including Bibby. They've really stepped up their play. Kudos.

I too, an avid Hawks and Knicks fan, thought that the Celtics were going to break out the brooms quick in this series. The reason for that being, INEXPERIENCE. I believed the Hawks were talented but thought they lacked the playoff experience to play effectively against the Celtics.

However, the superior transition game of the Hawks has severely effected the Celtics isolation, isolation, isolation.

I BELIEVE. WE BELIEVE. The Hawks have gained my respect. Win or lose, the Hawks are BACK. ATL is back in basketball. After 9 long years of terrible team after terrible team, the Hawks matter again.

Now only if the Knicks could do the same :banghead: :banghead:

Thanks Cfan.

Too bad you're in a small minority. I heard Ian Thomsen this morning on a boston station. He basically said if Boston loses this series they were a mirage. The Hawks are the worst team in the playoffs. And that Joe Johnson isn't as good as he played last night. Doesn't matter. I hope we'll be the worst team to ever win a Title :D
If it counts luck is worth the same as skill

No problem,

The Hawks are a much better team then the Nuggets. Talk about a spineless bunch of ninnies. They were too worried with how their hair looked and what tattoo to get next.
