Can we put this Smoove contract issue to rest.

Give the man his due........he is going to get his contract now!

Did anyone see the graphic about the most blocked shots by age 22?
Smoove has EVERYONE beat, hands down. Look it up.

He does so much for us, and is growing up before our eyes.

Appreciate #5, because he deserves your support!

League rules that he can't sign a contract until July 1st. I agree with you that it's clear he's established himself on a public stage and there is no way the Hawks don't match any offer he gets. They may just open the pocket books from the get go to make sure he's happy.

Truer words haven't been spoken.

It would be pretty embarrassing to let him go or trade him for Andris Biedrins after he was a human wrecking ball in the biggest two games the Hawks have played in ages.

How things change, after games one and two people were ready to let him walk.

Josh Smith is going to be a Hawk for a long time after his performance the past two games.

There's no doubt in my mind that the Hawks will retain Smoove, he will be a longtime Hawk and one day his jersey will be retired in the rafters, if you ask me. He's a hometown hero. I just can't see him going anywhere, atleast not in this point of his career.

i had doubts that he would get tired of his home city

this series proved me wrong, he plays with so much passion and the city loves him. no way he leaves

I'd like to see the marketing group advertise Josh Smith better around the city once they match or resign him outright. Josh is going to be a name around here for many years and he's the most exciting Hawk players. It's just time for the ASG to take advantage of it and they'll not only help Josh but themselves.
