Igoudala turned down a hefty contract extension last offseason, after his dismal performance in a winable series with the detriot pistons, will he regret doing so?
I think this performance will give the sixers, and the rest of the league, enough doubt about Igoudala, that we will get him alot cheaper than we thought. The cheaper we get him, the more room there will be for a real #1.

Ok, back to Josh Smith since people keep bringing him up. Few questions about Smith;
1) Isn't he more suited to play SF? Where does that leave Thaddeus?
2) Would Smith free up Iguodala and prevent teams from doubling him? For example, would Iguodala still be getting shut down in this series if Smith was inserted into our lineup to take some of the defensive pressure off of him?
3) Finally, this is going to sound absurd BUT can Josh Smith play SG at all or is he strictly a SF/PF? Does he have the foot-speed to defend the quicker 2 guards in this league? Does he have enough of the scorer's mentality and the handle to play the 2 guard?
PG: Miller, Lou
SG: Josh Smith, Carney
SF: Thaddeus Young, Iguodala
PF: 16th Pick, Josh Smith

I like thad and all but starting over iggy?
At SF? Absolutely! Thaddeus is a true SF with true SF size. He doesn't force things, he's fluid around the rim, and he plays solid defense - and he's 19 years old. So it really comes down to Josh Smith or Iguodala at SG - and my pick would be Josh Smith until Iguodala shows me that he can elevate his game when it truly matters - and defend his man, which he has NOT done well against Prince, who shot 11 for 12 last game.

I honestly feel like we have more potential to succed with igg and thad playin two and three. Smith is good, but his game is very inconsistant. His jumper is not better than thad's. He would not free up igg cuz no one would guard him away from the basket. If anything, we need someone who can shoot 3 to free up igg's game.

1. Smith is more than capable of playing PF. He lacks great post skills but can defend and rebound well enough to play PF.
2. Yes. First of all Smith would make us the best running team in the league. Second, teams would have to pay a lot of attention to him on defense 'cause the guy can explode on any night and go off for 30+(see Boston series)
3. Smith can't play SG. period. He doesn't have the J or handle for it. He is a great defender though.
Iggy-Thad-Smith would probably be the most exciting trio in the league imo.

Agreed. Smith has bulked himself up to nearly 250 to be able to guard PF's. I doubt he can stay in front of most SG's. Maybe he can give you spot minutes, like Artest, but Artest has better defensive footwork (and is a better on the ball defender overall.)
I'm sure if the Sixers had Smith they would send out AIG, Smith and Thad and trap and switch and take advantage of having three players who can cover many positions.
I can't imagine the Sixers can get Smith, especially after the Hawks have captivated their fans with a competitive playoff series with Smith being one of their leaders.
