Okafor
Could we get him from Charlotte? A frontline of Andris & Emeka would change how we match up with a lot of teams.
It'd probably have to be a S&T.
I guess the tough part would be coming up with something they want, but holding on to our key guys.
I'm guessing that Al + 1st round wouldn't be enough?

Its weird... its too much for his talent level IMO, but not enough for his potential value around the league. It would really be a huge black eye for CHA if thats all they could get for him, especially with the dearth of competent big men in the league... I'd imagine if any team really wanted him, the Bucks could get him. Bogut would be a nice starting piece...

Okafor is a weird player.. he has can knock down the mid range shot, and he has a useful, although clumsy post game...
To me he should be more focused on the defensive end of the ball (whihc he is) but im nto sure id run plays directly for him, especially on the block.
He has nice hands but he cant really pass, he cannot handle the ball, and he doesnt even really draw double teams, so again this is a red flag for him being a go to guy in the post... ( Brandan on the other hand  )
Okafor in my mind is like a Shot blocking Udonis Haslem...defintly not worth the money he was demanding, and probably not even worth the amount of money hes about to get.

With LB being the defensive minded coach that he is, I doubt very seriously that Charlotte is going to let him go now. The fact that Okafor won't be able to get what he's demanding on the open market being what it will be this offseason (with bigs like Brand, O'Neal and likely Camby types being available) will help Charlotte as well. I agree that with Wright and the big money we're likely to be paying Monta and Biedrins, he's probably not a good fit.

He has one big advantage - there are not too many Big Guys on the market this off season. However, teams know that Charlotte will match any offer.
Actually he turned down about 5 years/ $65 million (approx $13 million a year). It was the same offer that Al Jefferson signed. Bobcats waited until Al signed & offered Okafur the same deal.

What sort of money did Darko get? Nene? Dalembert? Okafor is a lot better than any of those guys. He's a real good rebounder and defender, mobile, can score,is no slacker. He should cost more than Harrington + #14 and is worth more.
We'd at least add Belli to the offer. Char only accepts if they think they can"t come to terms with Okafor. Of course-we'd have to have a deal made with terms we are content with moneywise. Of the possible "big" moves,Okafor is a player we can have for a decade and he is exactly what we have too little of. An obvious issue is that he's also essential to the Bob's future.

We have no shot at Okafor... Cats are not going to deal with us again.
Also, I dont think LB's a pure defensive mind... I think he's a thinking man's coach.. LB loves smart players, Okafor's very average IQ wise... great timing, but I dont think we're missing any untapped potential in the kid... he is what he is, and what he is only on one side of the court... He oughta get a Cambyesque (8-9m per) offer, but because of the market, he'll likely get 10-11 or more...

NO WAY YOU GET J RICH BACK ,,,

I really miss you guys in the playoffs . At BOBCATSPLANET we have no one to pull for now. I hope you guys kick tail and we meat in the finals next year.
We offered Okafor six years at 65 milion and he turned it down . Personaly i think Brand would be a better choice for either team if we are giving up that kind of money . It will be a interesting off season .
All so what is your thoughts on us signing Larry Brown today. Just thought i would ask another teams point of view.

Dave you fell into the trap.
Please resist responding to Abyss Impact completely. He's bonkers, and not in a funny way.
