Well, we now officially have a new coach. Hopefully a new direction, too- up the Eastern Conference standings. Which player will help us get there? I guess we have a lot to hear from Coach Brown on this subject in the near future. I would like to know whether he wants frontline or point guard help in filling out our roster, for sure!

Should we be drafting at # 11, we have a lot of bigs to look at but not a lot of point guard types. Some combo guards, but we have little left in true point guards. Will that be a problem for Coach Brown? Probably not. I believe that we are probably better off trading for our other point guard, while drafting big men. But this exercise is about our collective will, not the will of one, so we will move on to business.

Off the board are: Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose, Jerryd Bayless, Brook Lopez, O. J. Mayo, Kevin Love, Anthony Randolph, D. J. Augustin, Blake Griffin, and our most recent winner- Russell Westbrook of UCLA.

So, who is your pleasure tonight? Do we take another big, or make a bigger void in the point/combo guard population? Time to vote!

Slam, I think these two guys (Jordan and Gordon) are the "Crazy" value guys tonight. Both have dropped down from where the mocks say they should go. May the best player make our squad!

Lets keep in mind this is technically #10 since we're counting Griffin, who is not in the draft. So this is pretty much Jordan territory, Gordon is really the one that will never be at this spot.

You would say I'm crazy but I would choose Serge Ibaka write in. My point of view is that we are choosing player to keep, of course I would pick someone else and switch the draftees or trade down in the draft and pick him later in the draft. But position wise, we don't need any sg/sf, so I choose a guy who has the potential to be Boshesque type of power forward. Although it may be a long shot. I know there are safer picks but i think once we should go high risk/high reward and draft potential.

Gordon. We can shop Carroll if he struggles and it'd probably be a great situation for our future for him to learn from Jrich and Larry Brown.

Yeah, but Ibaka's not even high-reward.... the highest I've seen him is DraftExpress's #25. Ford has him #29, nbadraft.net #47, HoopsHype has him out of the first... this doesn't mean you're wrong, of course, but it does mean that this would be a reach of epic proportions.

If you're willing to take someone who won't contribute meaningfully to the NBA for at least 3 years, you may as well take Jordan, who's got even better potential and is closer to being able to play.

i said that I think he could be BPA for us (considering needs). i didn't said I would draft him so early.

There were some good youtube clips of him, I hope they are still there - check him out.

IMHO there won't be so much difference between late lottery and early second rounds as usually is. There will be some reaches for sure.

I wouldn't risk too much, I would trade down. Sometimes your gotta risk - remeber Ian Mahinmi? He was a first round pick only a few years ago, drafted by Spurs, nobody knew he was existed and nothing has changed. Sometimes you hit the pot, so metimes not.
