Worst playoff performer of all time
Luther Head
Tonight: 0-4 2 TOs 2 assists.
For the series: 1.0 ppg 12% shooting 0% 3pt 7 mpg
What a dropoff. That's just ridiculous. McGrady could barely get any rest tonight because of him. I wanted to give him another chance after last year, but after witnessing his performance get even worse this year, he needs to go.

I thought we extended his option till the 2008-2009 season? w.e. but yeah the guy played just horrible, he needs to leave, last year he was our sixth man throughout the year, but in the playoffs he sucked it up big time.

lol
I feel bad for him, ut it looks like Adelman giving him those minutes wants his confidence back...hopefully he comes back and starts hitting those three point shots, if not, he is gone

Yeah, I agree - think i mentioned it during the game thread. He's definitely a better player than this, but he's also definitely a playoff no-show-er until he proves otherwise. Unless we have another blowout situation in the next game (highly unlikely), he should be perma-benched. Maybe use Novak to spell T-Mac when Korver is on the floor (someone Novak can stay with defensively).

Honestly, we all know that Luther is better than this. I have been just as surprised as anyone to see him continuously suck in the playoffs the past few years but I really think that if he has just 1 breakout game(kind of like that playoff game Kareem Rush had as a Laker where he had 6 3's), he could be a real asset.
Also, it seems like he rushes his shot a lot more in the playoffs. I think he feels a lot of pressure to get in a rhythm which is especially hard to do in the limited minutes he plays.
I really think Adelman should have put him in for those 4 minutes at the end of the game tonight when Utah cleared their bench. Let him get more shots off, try to build his confidence.

Luther needs to be packaged with Bobby Jackson this summer, if we plan to trade jackson contract. i actually like jackson, but his contract may be valuable to us. and luther for some reason still has value in this league. i always thought eddie jones was the worst player under pressure, but its officially luther head now

I agree, he looks like he wants to fix all the things he did previously bad as soon as possible in those limited minutes, he knows he is in a bad position
