That is convenient. They made a mistake last year and the team they wanted to win was helped. This year they learned from their mistake just in time to help the team they want to win.

Funny how that works.

If the NBA goal was to selectively enforce the rules to ensure higher ratings teams win series, why would they help the spurs over the suns (the team with the worst ratings in sports). Why would they enforce this rule against the knicks in 97 going into a game 7 if profit was their only motive.

why was it a mistake? it's in the rules...

Following the rules so strictly is a mistake and it spoiled the series last year. That is just my opinion, but I think they realize they made a mistake whether they will admit it or not. It is easy for them to just review things on a case by case basis and everything isn't black and white. Most of the people who have an issue with this are just hating so whatever.

The Celtics are clearly Sterns darlings this season. It's sickening how the double standards apply.

i think it is absolutely rediculous that KG was not suspended, the way he pushed the ref away, if that were any person from atlanta they would have been suspended that night. i really cant stand watching the celtics or garnett play, i always have and always will HATE garnett, he is a piece of **** who gets special treatment from refs every single game. garnett is not deserving of a ring and i hope atlanta comes out firing in games 5 and 6 and win the series just so garnett can go down as the most overrated player ever!

If Amare got suspended for stepping on the court last year then Marv and Perk should if they did the same. Simple as that.

But for KG it didnt look like he was PUSHING the ref that was holding him just breaking off of his hold. Not sure if the rules also apply to breaking free from the refs restraint.

I mostly think the leaving the bench rule is stupid and should be changed. If they feel they made a mistake last year I'd love it if they just said that and made the change. They can easily review video and see if what the players on the bench did warrants a suspension and usually it wouldn't unless they caused a problem. Neither of the players in this game even did anything besides try and see what was going on. They didn't walk out towards them or anything. The KG deal is more debatable, but like I said I think the majority of the people who are acting outraged over it are just being haters. What he did was not a big deal and is being way overblown.
