I keep hoping someone will really want him for some reason and give us compensation (pick[s]) for it.

He will likely get a new gig before the end of the post season. The coaching pool is very dry right now. BTW I don't see Doc lasting too long in Boston either.

I agree.

Just imagine if ATL wins the series against Boston. Doc will be the first coach ever to be fired during the post game interviews.

Too bad for Johnson. I thought of him to be refreshing.

I didn't really see enough of Dallas to grade his coaching performance, but I agree with others that the roster is flawed for sure.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Feel bad for Avery but I'm kind of glad the Mavs lost, more becasue Jason Kidd forced his way out of Jersey and to Dallas. Was a great point guard for years, but still he got Byron Scott fired, which was a mistake. Was glad to see Kidd not put up any good numbers.

The Mavs either bring back Don Nelson or his son to coach this team.

not to change the subject but according tnt ernie johnson says the insider david aldridge says d'antoni will not be back next season, and he expects him to resign next week

so two coaches gone for going out in the first round on the same night
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

theTHIEF wrote:I will give AJ this compliment and I only say it because it's true, he has a profound ability for getting through to his guys and his team always seems prepared for games, especially when they face teams they might have lost to previously.

I don't think the loss of this particular series was his fault...sure coaches take blame and they are usually ahead of the line...

as far as his strategies, style of play and his x's and o's...meh

Though the word on the street is that he did not work well with Kidd and that really helped his down fall.
It had to be his way and no other way would work and now he is out of work.

LOL!!! I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that. It's so true. Even if they get past the Hawks he will be canned if they don't win it all this year. They only have a couple of years before they are too old to do much damage.
