Age isn't a factor for Iverson, he is quicker/faster than just about every 20-30-year-old in the NBA. Even when he's 35-40 he will be more athletic than 99% of the NBA. Anyone who can lock up Iverson in a long-term contract will be blessed, because you won't find a better guard over the next 4 years.

I don't disagree, 'Melo hasn't played well at all but he's younger and that's more valuable to the Nuggets at this point. I do very much disagree with your last statement, though; if it goes on long enough, you make a move. A half-decade is usually enough time to evaluate your options. That said, in this case, it's not because the team has basically been a stale rehash each year without appreciably addressing the key issues (need a post scorer and more three-point shooters, for example, and some freaking defense, not just big BPG and DRB numbers from Camby).

i would keep iverson and melo, they have forged a friendship and since iverson is over his immaturity, he could be a role model for the younger players while still being a valuable asset. but trade camby. he cant really produce on offense, and he's weak compared to other centers. trade him for emeka okafor.

Camby just camps by the rim so he can get defensive boards and blocks; he can't defend the post, doesn't show on guys curling around screens, doesn't do much of anything positive defensively unless someone challenges him in his zone... which is basically the same zone Shaq stays in on offense.

Okafor is a very good shot-blocker, an excellent man defender, a very good defensive rebounder and a good rotational defender. That would DRAMATICALLY improve Denver's defense, nevermind the improvement by having a guy who can score in the post when Nene's not around...

Denver should trade AI to a team to an up-tempo running team who needs a shooter and more scoring- and has cap space.

So trade him to the Sixers for Andre Miller and a couple of late 1st round picks.... never mind.

I wish the Sixers had found a way to trade AI to a team with a great big man (to Min when they had KG.) i never understood why they would trade him to a team with another high volume outside shooter. Denver is a good but not great team, but AI would be a better weapon on a team with a great inside presence.
