Does anyone on here think he would be a good fit for the Timberwolves. Personally I think when he matures he will be a great offensive weapon. If we could get him cheap right now it would be worth the risk.

The Wolves already have McCants. If we trade him I would be open to giving Smith a shot. Having both doesn't make much sense considering they both play sg.

I think he's pretty equivalent to the player McCants is. Acquiring him would mean a sign and trade, because we aren't using the mid-level. The problem there is I'm not sure we have any players Denver would want.

Oh God no. Wolves already have a JR Smith they have to get rid of, and that one has less baggage.

The only assets off of Denver that I would be remotely interested in are Camby and their pick this year. And, yes, that includes Melo and AI.

I think we would have to get rid of Mcants to get Smith anyway but I also like Smiths potential more. If we could get him for cheap and just for like 2-3 seeasons I think it would be a good descison.

I was big on JR SMith when he was w/ the Hornets and we could've gotten him for pennies, but alas, :(

I am pretty sure he wants the MLE and Denver has said that they will match any reasonable offer. In my opinion I ask myself how is he any different than McCants? He is never going to be a difference maker on defense and he just a pure gunner. I would stick with the cheap alternative and use him(Mccants) as trade bait for a better player or draft pick.
