Chat about what's goin' on in the East...hopin' the Sixers can do some dirt for us.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I'm having a hard time seeing anybody beat the C's, here. I haven't seen a field this weak since the used to have the "UCLA Invitational" in the West Region in the 60's...The Bruins and a bunch of random teams so weak it virtually guaranteed Wooden's teams nothing but scrimmages on their way to the final four.

Unfortunately, Dwight is not a team. It's Dwight & parts that complement him, like outside shooters such as Hedo Turkoglu.
76ers, anyone? No, they're not actually going to get it, but they are pushing the Pistons into at least a 6-game first round, and I'm pretty sure that that once THAT old team is knocked out, Boston has smooth sailing.

I'm definitely torn between Orlando and Cleveland. I'm going w/ the Cavs, mainly b/c of experience and I think Mike Brown is the best coach in the EC playoffs right now. LBJ, Booby, and Big Z know what it's like to get to the Finals, and unlike 1andDone tournaments in other playoffs, the NBA is much more of a process when crowning champs. They've been there before, they know what it takes, certain role players like West and Wally look good, and I almost forgot about Big Ben winning one. The Cavs are my pick to win the East, and win it all actually.

What is his problem? Take down Artest, Stoudamire, and Diaw for standing up and taking two steps, but nothing here? I don't get it.

I honestly didn't see anything that merited a suspension.
That said, Stern is a twerp. Vernon Maxwell, NBA cancer, goes into the stands and slugs it out with fans. Suspended 10 games. Ron Artest...you know the story.
Thanks again for arbitrarily assigning my team the Death Penalty and killing its prospects for years to come, Stern you little S.O.B.

True, but the guy in the stands thtat Max went after was taunting him about his stillborn child...he deserved to get beaten...
Of course, the real reason Artest (& the Pacers) got smacked so hard was because everything else went out of control in the Palace that night. There was no security and the crowd went absolutely **** when Artest went into the stands.
In the Maxwell incident, I think the crowd pretty much just sat there in shock. Apparently, it's not everyone's first instinct to storm the floor or run over to the exit so you could dump your Mountain Dew on the opposing team's players as they were leaving.
I'm thinking that Max would've gotten a lot worse had the crowd that night been more reasonable and clear-headed like the one in Detroit.

Detroit killed Orlando. If Orlando's 3-pt shooting isn't on, they have no chance. Detroit has too many players who they can rotate on Dwight Howard for the Magic to win. Hedu and Lewis were nowhere in the 2nd half. Maxiell played great on Howard i thought. Orlando is going to need Nelson to have a Deron Williams type series if they want to compete.
I don't have time to look it up now but backcourt scoring totally favored Detroit tonight. Hamilton and Billups dominated Orlando's back court. I mean, Stuckley had as many points as Evans. lol

Anyone think Cavs have any chance vs. Boston?
James is averaging 32pt, 8reb, and 9ast per game vs. Boston this season. That is crazy. Delonte West was brought in for his defensive play and they will need to shut Rondo out. Also, Ben Wallace has to have a vintage Big Ben series, if they want a chance to win.
