Do you think a team will trade an established star that is in the top 5 right now to pair a Rose w/ Beasley or Mayo and Rose.. or Beasley and Mayo etc?
The teams with the capabilities to do so would be the Grizzlies could draft Rose and than use conley/miller/gay to acquire Beasley type or a mayo type.
I could see the Bulls trading Deng/Gordon/Thomas to get Rose/Beasley combo..
what do u guys think?

The Bulls had to trade Brand, and the Sonics had to trade Ray Allen.
Let's go through the bottom 5 teams, see who they could offer...
1) Heat - Cook wouldn't get them a top pick, and Wade I don't see going anywhere (way too marketable).
2) Sonics - Green and Durant aren't leaving, and no one else could get them in the top 5.
3) Timberwolves - Foye and Brewer together might get them a high pick. Jefferson is the new franchise player, after trading Garnett for him, so he's not leaving.
4) Grizz - Conley and Rudy Gay could obviously get high picks. Gay isn't leaving, but I could see them trading Conley (since they have Lowry and Javaris also as young PGs). It'd take a very bold GM though.
5) Knicks - Don't have anyone who would get them in the Top 5.
The one I think would be most likely is Memphis trading Conley, only because they have such young talent at PG already behind him. But that would take some guts on the part of the GM, trading away a young player with potential is always risky.
Beyond the top 5, you have the Bulls as you mentioned. The Clippers could certainly deal Brand, or the Bucks deal Redd. The problem is I don't know what other lotto teams would take them and give a draft pick in return.
That's the biggest issue. Which lotto team would take on an older star in exchange for their draft pick? It's a controversial move.

I'd like to see Elton Brand head back to Chicago, in which case LAC could have 2 pics in the top 10. Say a twilight zone scenerio happens and the Clippers get #7 and the Bulls get #3 (If Chicago gets #1 or #2 they keep Beasley or Rose) Bulls deal #3, Kirk Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas to LAC for Elton Brand.

I could see a few teams trying to get that done, I think the Heat could go either way either looking to deal Shawn Marion to get back into the lottery or possibly trying to deal the pick for a veteran who can help them win now if they don't get a top 2 pick.
I think the Wolves might consider dealing a Foye/McCants combo to get back into the lottery if they land Derrick Rose in order to go after a Deandre Jordan, Eric Gordon, Anthony Randolph but if they don't land Rose they'll be holding on to Foye.
I think the Nets are more likely to try and use their picks and either Richard Jefferson or Vince Carter to move up in the draft to get an elite prospect.
I also think the Bucks will be looking to trade Michael Redd to get a second lottery pick as well and obviously if they could they'd do so with Mo Williams as well.

Why on earth do you think the Wolves would consider trading both Foye and McCants for a project in Jordan or a lesser player in Gordan? I can see McCants being traded for a later pick. But Foye will be around even if they get the chance to draft Rose.

I don't think they'll trade both of them to move back into the lotto, if I typed it that way it was by mistake. But I also don't really think that Rashard McCants with one year left on his contract gets them a lottery pick.
They might get back into the lottery if they landed Rose and were willing to deal Foye.

If the Grizzlies draw #1 and the Sonics draw #2, what if the Grizzlies drafted Rose and offered up Conley and Gay for Beasley? Which is the better lineup?
Sonics
Conley/Durant/Green/Gay or Green/Durant/Beasley
The first could really be interesting along the lines of a Golden State running team.
Grizzlies
Conley/Rose/Gay is already a problem in the backcourt.
Rose/Crittendon/Beasley might certainly be more marketable for now if all they're doing is trying to sell the team.

look for the heat to try and deal marion so they could get either beasley and rose/bayless. imagine that lineup
Rose/Bayless
Wade
Wright
Beasley
Blount
otherwise, look for the bucks to deal redd and/or mo to move up or get a pick. i dont think the clippers will trade brand. if the bobcats wanted to, they could prolly trade some pieces to get a second pick and build around that.

I don't know if the Grizzlies would trade Gay for Beasley straight up. Throwing in Conley seems to make it really one sided.

See, I think the opposite is more likely. I could see the Heat dealing their high pick (probably only if it's not #1 or #2) for an eastablished star on another team. They might be able get Redd, Brand, Jermaine O'Neal, Luol Deng, etc., in lieu of a lotto pick.
They are one team I could see taking this approach, choosing a star over potential, because they already have All-Stars in Marion and Wade. Another star and a healthy season could put them over the top.
Moreso than possibly any other team in the lotto, I think the Heat could improve significantly with the addition of another All-Star.

Well they were just the primaries, assumably to balance it out the sonics would send back a future pick I think, and/or one of their frontcourt prospects.
