New Orleans
What was their defensive efficiency in the regular season?

Most people picked Dallas over them.
All you hear out of the West is LA and the Spurs.... Even some people saying Utah could come out of the West.
NO ONE is picking New Orleans to come out of the West.
I'm not. People who predicted Dallas to take out New Orleans were ignorant retards. Experience is overrated. Dallas is soft and mentally fragile. They were the inferior team and were destroyed by the superior team.
As a Spurs fan, I want to know more about the team that we're facing. I knew that New Orleans was an elite offensive team, but I didn't know if they could play D.

I have to admit that I, like a lot of other people, underestimated the Hornets. They're really good. They did great against San Antonio in the regular season--yes, I know that doesn't mean that much come playoff time--and the Lakers can't guard quick point guards, so they've got a legitimate chance. They've always had trouble with the Jazz, but with how poorly they're playing and how well the Lakers are playing, I can't see them beating L.A., assuming they even make it to the second round. I've also realized that it's stupid not to be a CP3/Hornets fan just because I'm a Deron/Jazz fan. Both are perfect for their teams, which is all that matters. Paul is an unbelievable player and any team with him and a solid supporting cast can seriouslycompete.

If San Antonio can take away West and keep Chandler from getting a lot of alley oops in a game, then New Orleans looks super easy to beat. The only thing is, thats a lot easier said then done. West will do a great job of taking Duncan away from the basket, the same way Dirk does and that'll open things up a lot more for Chandler.
Another key think that the Spurs are going to need to do is look to get either Chandler or West into foul trouble. Their front court depth up front is really poor and after the starters, can't hold its own against the Spurs 4 man rotation up front. But once again, easier said then done.
Its an intriguing series as both teams are playing some of their best ball at the right time. I hope it'll go at least 6 games and I would love to see how Paul responds to a game 7 at home against the defending champs.
