I can't see Harp being shipped out, as Sloan, the organization, and (to my knowledge) his teammates are high on him. I guess we'll have to see how much he has left in the tank by the end of next year. I think he's got 2 or 3 decent years left in him.

I have been pleased as punch with him. Since the hub-bub about him finally being healthy it's been sweet as punch. Superdy duper. Fine and dandy.

Yeah, Harp has had his best season in quite a while here I have felt. He isn't making a lot of mistakes, his defense is better and even though his offense isn't what it used to be he isn't hurting the Jazz with bad shooting nights.

I would like to see the Jazz pick up Chalmers, DJ Augustin, or Ty Lawson in the later parts of the first round. I think any of those three would be great value picks who can contribute for 10 minutes a game if need be.

Price seems to have good games maybe every 4 or 5 games, but otherwise he's a non factor. Bring in someone who can give the same effort every night.

I'm happy with Price, but not as our only decent back-up. If Price goes down, we're either playing Jason Hart (God forbid - and is it wrong of me to be happy he has the flu?) or AK is running the point. That was fun against Golden State, buuuut...

So, yeah, I'd agree, Bat. Those are three pretty good choices too. I'd prefer Chalmers, but DJ would be fantastic as well.

KOC has been making excellent player personnel decisions, including the draft, so I'll defer to his wisdom on this, whoever he goes with. I was disappointed to get Brewer instead of Reddick, so it's a good thing I'm not in the war room with any input.

Price is a great third string PG, and a good option when playing the two PG line up. But I don't know if I trust him as the back up PG for a championship contender. He's a better change of pace guy I think.

I like his defense and his ability to stretch the floor, but I think he's more of a scorer then distributor. Both Augustin and Chalmers will be better distributors imo.

Thabeet is coming back to school
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... in_school/

we can draft a pg, leave the guy one year to understand the system (it means also a lot of nbdl) and then introduce him into the rotation.

Price and Hart expire next year, but i'd give Ronnie an extension, he's cheap, has some upside and he's useful

Hansbrough is also staying in school. Although I'm all for DelaneyRudd's suggestion - Super Ninentendo Chalmers ;)

After looking at couple of footages and some scout info, Omer Asik would be a perfect fit. he has a incredible shot blocking abilityand inside presence.

Honestly, I would be happy if we got someone who had a great motor and a great passion for the game.

The Jazz need a hard worker because other then Deron and occasionally Millsap the Jazz just don't have another guy like that with any decent size.

My dream scenario would include getting both Chalmers and Robin Lopez. I honestly think he is the best defensive big in the draft now that Thabeet wont come out. Im not sold on Brook on D, his offensive game is nice though. If we could move AK and Draft Lopez and Chalmers, and still have both 2nd rd picks to draft euros that would be great.

As for Asik, he wont contribute in the NBA for another 3-5 yrs. How many international players have impacts their first yr...Yao, who else? Scola and others came at age 28 etc. Im talking about young guys.

I like Joe Alexander and I think he will be a good player, but he isn't the right player for the Jazz.

It's a PG or another defensive big guy for the Jazz. No need to fill in the 2-3 spot, especially since there is no out of the ordinary talent where we are drafting this year.

Asik is turning 22 in july, with substantial euroleague/pro experience. the reason most international dont contribute they come as 18-19 year old projects, Asik is already proven as he led euroleague in blocks. i am not saying he ll come in and have significant impact on the team but chances are you wont find that player at late first round.

but, 3-5 years? that s absurd.

EDIT: chances are he ll be available with second round pick anyways.
