3. Los Angeles Lakers: Lakers fans seem to have some sort of "us against them" mentality, and believe that if people aren't Lakers fans, they must hate anything and everything to do with the Lakers and/or Kobe Bryant. They may be correct.

lol @ #1,

really what have the Celts done since the 80s? ok they have 3 Hall of Famers on their Squad now, got a scare from Altanta (and if Stern had any fortitude, he would have dropped suspensions on KG, Perkins and Williams) and will get some serious challenge from either Orlando or Detroit.

and then have to face the survivor from the vastly superior West.

Can you imagine how it was for me. New Yorkers are the most rude nasty people in the world and I am a Laker fan. I go to champs and foot locker and ask if they have Laker Hats or can order them and the service sometimes is lets just say not the best.
I ordered the Kobe 111 off the internet because I didn't want to go to the store and get them and here the jokes.
Although when the Laker fans see me and my Laker gear they are extra nice.

I dont know how you can hate the lakers? I can see how others could hate kobe but the lakers?

haha new yorkers, I went there in feb and watched the knicks play the spurs at MSG. They really don't have any history they had pictures of I guess all the greatest moments in MSG history, they had pictures of mark messier, muhammed ali...

All the basketball pictures I saw were john starks dunking on jordan and 1 of patrick ewing.

I was born and raised in NYC, currently living in California. I have family and friends that live in NYC and I think your comment about "New Yorkers" is WAY off. The way your comment appears that ALL New Yorkers are rude & nasty. :nonono:

I think the Lakers would be more hated than the Yankees. Yes, they have an insane pay roll with no holes in their lineup from 1-9 but they haven't won a championship in 9 years. Also they repeatedly get owned by my angels 8)

ALL New Yorkers, of course not. But in comparison to people in other cities?

NYC has to be up there. Generally terrible service unless you're a high roller and hitting up only the top notch places, where you'll get terrific service because New Yorkers love money.

On the street, people generally don't give a crap about anybody else, and you'll find a very high percentage of rude, inconsiderate, loud, obnoxious asses out here. The best New Yorkers are those who will leave you alone bleeding and dying on the sidewalk like kitty genovese. The worst will take your money and kick you in the head just for fun.

Good falafel though.
