I don't think Shaq had the body control of Howard in the air.

Either way, Shaq was more powerful and definitely more fluid on the ground.

Shaq was lucky that he got to play in a league devoid of flopping or at least its prevalence in today's league. Look at people now flopping left and right on Shaq. Some of his moves would never work in todays league.

Anyone who picks Dwight is a homer, Shaq at 22 was easily better than Dwight at 22 in nearly every regard. Dwight would be lucky to just match any kind of production Shaq has had in his good old days period, we're talking one of the most dominant big men to ever play.
