they just can't win though..they aren't a well-built team..they have too many iso players, and not enough traditional role players IMO..their coach doesn't seem to understand what he's doing with his rotations and strategies..their defensive anchor can block shots and get rebounds, but can't rotate or play man defense..they don't seem to give a solid effort every night..almost every player on their team has bad shot selection, which is obviously terrible when the shot isn't falling..

this team is so good because it has so much talent..that's the reason they can win 50 games..but when it comes to playing a well-built team like the Lakers or Spurs, they won't be able to win a 7-game series..

Denver was summed up in the deciding game after Camby made the 3 to put them back in it, then nobody went back on defense and the Lakers got a wide open layup.

Denver has no heart.

I'm with Harlem on this one. Denver has a paradoxical sounding problem that it is both very talented and not underachieving. They have two very good scorers but they don't have the traditional offensive pieces to surround them with like consistent shooters or super high efficiency big men. They have a salary problem but they need to move two of their 3 overpaid frontcourt players and get some shooters on that team.

You can say that Avery didn't help make the Kidd trade work as well as it should have but they still would have gotten worked by the Hornets. They essentially downgraded their pg position and paid their defensive anchor to do it. You can say they choked in the playoffs but that core also beat the Spurs in the playoffs, the only current team to have done so. A change was in order but its not on the coach to make a less talented team do better than a more talented one.

denver, denver. How do i put this...
let's see, 2 all stars in AI and melo (high scoring machines)
dpoy in campy

won 50 games and barely made the playoffs. They were lucky to be in the playoffs, so yes they definitely underachieved.

Denver is talented. Are they more talented than Utah. IMO NO. Are they more talented than the Lakers. I don't think so. Are they more talented than New Orleans. How about San Antonio or Phoenix. Denver is talented but looks to me even if AI and Melo there at best 6 or 7 in the west in talent. I would take Kobe/Gasol, Duncan/Parker/Gino, Deron/Boozer, Nash/Amare over AI/Melo.

Hell, Denver has all the talents and players but they can't even win one game in their home court. That's pretty sad.
