CHICAGO -- When Alfonso Soriano returns to the Cubs' outfield, he'll be in left, not center, manager Lou Piniella said Saturday.

Yeah, I think Pie is going to stay up.
Corey was never very confident.. Felix is very confident and has all the intangibles.. He's not going to let a few bad days at the plate bother him.
Felix is a winner.. Can anyone here argue that this team is worse with him in center field? I firmly believe this team has gotten better since he's been here. When Soriano is in LF he will be more comfortable I believe.. He's living with Soriano right now & I think with Soriano in the lineup it will take pressure off him and he will be able to just go out there and play.
He made a few nice plays today.
A lot of young players struggle when they first get called up.. A good example from last season was Howie Kendrick .. Howie hit like .400 in AAA for a full season before getting called up.. He gets called up starts 1/40 gets sent back down comes back up and finishes the year at .285.. This season Howie started off at .330 before breaking a finger.. Howie is a better hit than Felix right now, but most young players struggle at the plate when first called up.
I'm not worried about Felix at all.. He will come around.

Hopefully his hitting gets back on track.
I personally would like to see Pie leading off and playing CF for the rest of the year if for nothing other than his glove. Let Soriano move to the 4th or 5th spot...I think the lineup would be much better.
Then try to trade JJ for a mid-level rp or prospects.....I wish.

I would like to see that also. But then Jones is the odd man out. Trade him and Miller for a better SP?

Eh, I don't think you're going to get too much out of that package. Maybe a couple of minor league prospects. But I'd do it. An OF of Soriano-Pie-Murton/Floyd from left to right would be very solid. You could trade Jones for a bag of baseballs and I'd say that would be a good trade.

His plate discipline? He has shown fine plate discipline and worked a ton of counts.
