I didn't watch a single full 48 mins of NBA game this season. (regular season)

NBA playoffs are exciting until you see refs blow a whistle on Butler's hand "touching" LeBron, Kobe goes to FT line 20 times a night and Manu flopping all over the place...

Not hating on Lebron/Kobe/Manu, but that's what we see night in and night out.

Good defense = foul, flop = good defense...

:nonono: David Stern ruined the game!!!

i have not seen a full 48 minutes of baseball in my life
and the 5 seconds added all together this year through flipping channels didn't help that cause
baseball is the most boring sport in the world
Clutch (MJ,horry) and anti-clutch (dirk, nick Anderson) do exist; in basketball mostly.

clutch is all mental... some players just get nervous and can't perform at the last seconds of a game... others have more toughness and will actually put more focus and bottle all their energy to make a last second critical score.

horry always says that its about focusing on what youve been practicing. going through your reads, going through your stroke, going through the motions as hes been drilled at doing, and instead of getting caught up in the moment of where you are at, but complete and total focus on the simple mechanics of his shot.

doing that while not paying attention to the moment or defender in your face, is clutch.

as robert horry said after we sent the queens back to sacramento, you better go read about my past in the newspaper or somethin.

ELWAY is KING when it comes to 4th quarter comebacks. ask the cleveland browns for example.

his superbowl record is not indicative of his being clutch. they played the 49ers, and its a fact, the 49ers were just flat out a better team. same with giants. but if he had a proper system around him, he wouldve won more than the back to back that he won.

but heck, that just means that he personally carried his team through those bad years with a bad coaching system.

Elway is clutch.

You can't come back in the 4th unless you let your team get down.....

Most Clutch of all time

Robert Horry.

He single handedly ended the Kings Chances for a Championship. He just hit far too many timely shots, many of which should never have gone in but that's why he's Big Shot Bob.

I'm a Kings Fan and Horry is my favorite player of all time

Definitely agree that Horry is Clutch. That's all he is in fact. He'll stink it up the whole game. Get beat on defense every time. But the only points he'll score are game winners. It's pretty frustrating, even when he's on your team! I remember watching laker games I'd be mad at Phil for keeping horry in the fourth since he would get abused by players like: Duncan, Garnett, and Webber. But you know deep down inside it's because he's an X-Factor that could win you the game at the end. And he does.

Also, what's up with the hatred for Baseball? Baseball is entertaining. Not as up-tempo as basketball. But It's still fun. I think you'd have to play baseball to get a true understanding for the game though.

My baseball prediction: Angels and Mets for the Championship.

Angels on top 8)

Horry said it himself, it's just a game to him. So when he shoots his shots he doesn't worry about them missing because ultimately nothing bad happens to him. He just lets his skill do the work.

Any idiot who talks about a player elevating his game or taking it to the next level is stupid. Some players get more aggressive, but thats about it. Take Michael Jordan for example. He's considered one of the ultimate clutch players, but his regular season numbers and his postseason numbers are basically the same. The thing about MJ was that he just stayed calm and played his game. Ditto for Tim Duncan, Kobe, Larry, and all the other guys who are known for coming up big late in games.

Even if your numbers drop a little. It's the playoffs. You're playing against better teams. The problem is if you pull a Karl Malone and have post season numbers that are noticably off of your regular season stats. That means you're playing your game differently or not at all and thus not as well.

you gotta be on the court to be clutch. that should go without saying

also there are more clutch times than late in the fourth quarter. clutch may mean nailing the tough shot to break an 8-0 run that pushed the lead to 15 and making the plays to lead your own 15-2 run that puts you right back into the game. it might mean silencing the crowd on the road, or hitting the shot that causes the other coach to burn a timeout.

I love basketball, I love fast game with running and tons of 3 bombs and I love slow pound em out games where there's tough defense and diving for loose balls on every play. I love the superstars, the fact that you have to be an uberathlete. The fact that you have to think and set up on the fly. Even free throws the so called boring part are fun for me to watch because they involve scoring.

Football is just wait for the coach to pick a play, watch the running back run into a big crowd and gain 3 yards for a total of 3 seconds, then watch an incomplete pass for 3 seconds, maybe a 10 yard throw, and another 3 yards gains that takes 3 seconds. Then you got John Madden doing his stupid play drawing while you wait for another 3 second play. Then you have 3 minutes of beer commercials.

Watching American football is like waiting in line for the teacups at disney land. You wait in line for 3 minutes for a 3 second ride that's not even that fun.
Basketball has constant back and forth action.

WTH? Are you referring to high school football because this is not at all what every game during the NFL season is like, get real bro. Watching football is amazing, even more so in the playoffs because every game can literally be your last game of the season, it just makes it that much more exciting.

But yeah... NBA > NFL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MLB.

LOL! You get so riled up about someone's opinion on football and then go on to say it's ">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MLB".

How did I get riled up?.. Because I said wth? I said get real bro because the way he described the NFL game is not even close to what its like in real life, for the most part at least. Now if I said baseball is so boring because it takes an hour between each pitch and blah blah blah whatever false "observations" I could pull outta my ass then yeah you could tell me to get real. I just stated my opinion, I think the nfl and nba are A LOT more fun to watch than baseball, if we disagree then its cool.. its just an opinion.

In the final minute of a game, you can have Horry who is super clutch when left open but who usually scores off of plays or openings created by others. I'll take Reggie Miller who is clutch enough that he still scores with the opposition keying on him.

That game versus the Knicks should be in the dictionary next to the definition of clutch.
