Are you kidding??? Or what if a meteor hits Skiles car on the way to the Bradley Center, then the entire franchize is screwed!!!!

What exactly is so outlandish about what I said? Coahces get ejected, and when they do, an assistant takes over.

This has happened in Skiles's tenure with the Bulls. And when it did, Boylan took over. And Boylan is mesmerically bad at game management.

If Skiles get ejected from a game and Boylan takes over and Boylan makes obvious mistakes which cause us to lose a game we would have won with Skiles and that loss affects our playoff seeding, then yes you could be correct.

OK, fine. But here's the one thing we do know about Boylan: he was astoundingly, staggeringly, unbelievably bad as a head coach.

"We're not hiring him as a head coach."

I know that. But if Skiles gets ejected, let someone else - anyone else - run the rest of the game.

How often does something like that happen? OK with Skiles maybe more than the average head coach. :D Seriously, though, plenty of top assistants have proven to be a poor head coaches. That doesn't mean they can't be damn good assistants. You guys know more about Boylan than we do but if the worst thing that could be said about him was he's a horrible head coach then I'm fine with him joining the staff since that isn't the role he's being hired to fill.

I do like the Hollins addition.
Nothing will not break me.

Boylan may indeed be a fine assistant. He must have gotten the reputation from somewhere. But God knows what it is that he does.
