truly amazing, and it was around this time one year ago the fiasco started, to have a season like this speaks volumes....congratz

Would have been fine with either. A welcomed change from last year's debacle giving it to Dirk. At least this year we have two guys that were very deserving. Gratz to Kobe. Awesome season.

He didn't win the last bunch of seasons because his team was very, very mediocre, and now they ended up with the best record in the west, what else can he do to win MVP? Well deserved!

He can solidify the MVP award with a Finals MVP trophy.

When was the last time a player who wasn't top 5 in PER won the MVP?

no but the "best player in the world" was "long due it" so let's give it him instead of someone who asctually desereved it this year.
