sorry but, kobe's mvp was way overdue. paul is young, he will win one. this just isnt his year.
This is the biggest problem I have with Kobe winning, as well as the worst argument for him. You shouldn't get any type of advantage by being "overdue." Kobe is the best player in the league, and probably should already be in possession of an MVP award. But that shouldn't count for one iota in this MVP discussion. Likewise, CP3 shouldn't be discredited because he has most of his career in front of him.
Chris Paul was most deserving during the 07-08 season, and posts like yours show exactly why.

I disagree that Paul was most deserving... they both had great numbers (28, 6, 5 vs 21, 11, 3stl) but I think while Paul is an above average defender, Kobe is an all-league defender... I'd say he's the best 2-way guard in the game... maybe even the two way player (Duncan)... anyways, I think what ultimately puts Kobe over the top is the Lakers being in 1st place despite all the injuries.. Hornets choked away the #1 seed despite being virtually healthy all season while I dont think anyone would argue that the Lakers would not have won a few more games had Bynum been healthy all season
