Give the guy props -- he's done a great job w/ his team and they're playing to win right now. Funny thing, for all the crap Kobe's taken over the Shaq breakup, other than that Bynum video w/ some fans, I haven't heard the guy throw his teammates, or former teammates, under the bus like Snaq. Either him or CP3 would've been fine choices -- hopefully this lights a fire under Deron's ass and he improves his handling and comes back even better next year.

No definately Kobe is the MVP. Anything less would be politics. Really need Ronnie and AK and Harp to play amazing coming up. Hard to believe Kobe has only one, but in this season, it is an accomplishment.

He deserves it. As much as I hate him, he is by far the most deserving of it.

+1. I like CP and all, but he definantly doesn't deserve it over Kobe. He's a great player with a great future, but this wasn't his year nor should it have been.

I'm glad he won it. That's all we'd need is a pissed off Kobe trying to prove something against us.

Uh great for him? Not sure why you posted this here. It is deserved, but I hope you don't think he is going to win a championship too, because you will be wrong...

it's too early to be talking about who's going to win a championship. too many teams still left.

Kobe deserves it. I would have been pissed if Chris Paul won it.

I got to vote in the RealGM poll, and I voted for LeBron. With him, that team finished in the top bracket in the East. Without him, they'd have fielded a starting lineup of Ilgauskas/Joe Smith/Szcerbiak/Pavlovic/Delonte West. Ewww. LeBron almost single-handedly meant 5 or 6 spots in the standings for that team, maybe more.

That said, Kobe got my #2 vote, and it's hard to argue with that either. Well done, Kobe.
