3. This series will be over with before you realize it so don't blink. I mean no disrespect (even though that's pretty much what I'm doing) but the Hornets aren't good enough to win this series. This will probably play out like the WCF did last year. The Jazz were playing great but were just out of their league.
My word against yours here. We'll talk after this series has started.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

Watch out for Pargo. I think he's the best on the team. He carries the Hornets when ever CP3 sits down and is known to get them back in the game when they are losing. He has a sweet mid range and three point stroke. He plays like Kobe outside the paint.
As for Chandler, stop those alleys and he'll be useless.
Stay on Peja at all times, even if CP3 penetrates, this guy is prob the best shooter in the NBA at the three.
Give West no room and he'll have a bad shooting night.
Put Bowen on CP3 and I bet he'll have a horrible shooting game, but he will pass the ball. As long as you stay at home with the other guys, than it's over for them.

Well, we've taken away the lob-game in the past with Denver (Andre Miller and co. in 05, and to a lesser degree without Miller in 07). Though it is different with the Hornets because they have better floor spacing than Denver has ever had. The Chandler-alley-oop being a significant aspect of their offense. Good pointing out.
Unless Wright's in the game (some minutes at most), Chandler's the only one who gets real lobs on that team, too.

PArgo doesn't worry me because he surprised the Mavs and they didn't adjust. I think Pop knows how to read a box score and identify that stat line that made a difference. He'll get the respect. As will Peja and West. I think they'll plan to shut everything down, stay with the scorers and slap TP or Vaughn one-on-one with Paul. Or put Bowen on Paul and whatever Paul gets, so be it. He's gonna score anyway, no matter what we do. He will score as much as he wants to anyway. Like the Kobe gameplan, like the Amare gameplan, Pop will take his chances with him and try to shut everythin else down.
That's my gut feeling. Until that backfires on us, I think that'll be the approach.

Bowen and Paul have another (mini) tussle

You'd think Bruce Bowen would've learned from his suspension for stepping on Chris Paul's jewels.

1. Chris Paul did in fact have a tremendous series vs. the Mavs but with all due respect, it's the Mavs. For the record Parker would have torched them just as bad. (Obviously in a much different way Parker and Paul are completely different players)
2. To whomever it was who mentioned Bonzi as an x-factor, are you kidding me? ........ Actually I'm just kidding you! As a Spurs fan for a really long time I hate Bonzi (in a basketball kinda way, I don't actually hate the guy). He kills the Spurs. The only hope is that the Hornets either don't realize this or are afraid to run their offense through Bonzi and look stupid in the eyes of the "experts" by not putting the game/series on Paul's shoulders.

I wonder what you thought about Hornets and if you still think this is an easy match up for Spurs?
Spurs will adjust, the adjustments will be painfull. TD guarding West, Bowen on Peja and free reign for CP?
This will be a fun series, like a chess match. Yes, Hornets are that good you have not been paying attention.
