I'll take the effortless and lazy cousins Carter and Tmac ;) I'll give them one more shot, maybe both have grown to know what is more important in their life.

Who would Wade guard on the defense? The combo of Wade + Pierce would have to score nearly every possession because either Carter or McGrady would abuse Wade in the post.

a regular game, Wade and Pierce..

if there was a million dollar prize or something big at stake that would force them to give a full effort, I'd take VC and Mac..

yeah other than the fact that VC has had multiple 40+ point games vs Miami over the years and Miami usually ends up trying to switch Wade off VC. One of the reasons is Wade is undersized and lacking in strength compared to VC who outside of Paul Pierce is one of the stronger swingmen in the post. Anyone who watches VC knows he is very effective in the post due to his strength advantage and are perplexed why he doesn't go to this aspect of his game more.

Wade is the quickest of the three and he would cause problems if he goes to the rim but he also has the least range of the four so T-mac/Vince could step off him to better guard the drive and use their size & athleticism to challenge jump shots. VC/T-Mac are actually decent defenders (esp T-Mac) when they aren't expending most of their energy on offense for their teams. I'd say Pierce is the most physical and most consistent defender of the four.

However Vince / T-Mac can score in more variety / range of ways than Wade/Pierce which opens up their offensive sets for them (but that could be good/bad depending on shot selection).

Again the size / athleticism advantage for VC/T-Mac might also give them the edge in rebounding which is very important in any sort of basketball game.

T-Mac/Vince have also played together and are pretty close (I believe they both live in Orlando in the off-season) so they would likely have better chemistry on the court also.

2 on 2 , halfcourt set, player call fouls...I'd say Vince/T-Mac would win over Wade/Pierce (i'd say rather easily too). I'd love to watch something like that though.

I agree. Carter's has played pretty well against Wade historically. But NOT in the post... the difference in weight is what 5 pounds?

Switch Wade off of Carter? I don't remember Wade really ever guarding Carter, as Riley's always had a defensive oriented SF guarding the other team's best player, like an Eddie Jones or James Posey. Wade normally picked up RJ IIRC.

with exception of Ron Artest I've seen Vince overpower every other swingmen in the league in the post, honestly no other guard backs down defenders as much as Vince does (or did before this season)

I think I'll go with Tmac and Vince. They are a better "fit" than Pierce and Wade, simply because neither of those guys are good shooters (maybe Pierce) and don't have the range that Tmac and VC does.

Plus, when motivated, Tmac and Vince can actually play pretty good defense. I think Tmac (again if motivated) can stick with Wade (heck he's done that with Kobe at times when they go at it in some games), and Vince can hold his own against Pierce.

Chemistry: I hope you guys realize that Tmac and Vince have played together back in Toronto and had great understanding of each other...and here i'm talking a young defensive tmac playing alongside an elite scorer of prime Carter.

They'd rip Paul and Wade to shreds...if Wade found it hard to guard NJ Carter how on world would he fare against prime Vince? not to mention one fact...that carter is an amazing one-on-one player and it was proven during the Olympics just ask KG.
