I don't care so much about Timmy's numbers as much as I do his effectiveness. The Hornets do not have a player with a big enough body to go 1-on-1 with Tim, so they have been doubling him each time he touches the ball. However, we have not been able to take advantage of this as we did in the 1st.

WenHAVE to have an answer for David West in game 2. If he's going to put up 30, it better be on 15 for 40 shooting. It seemed as though he had his way all game. A lot of Pauls stat sheet will be end game stat padding.
I really want to see Udoka on West in Game 2 when KT is not in the game.

Stellar team win for the Hornets
Definitely surprised at how things went, moreso at the large loss, but Hornets just played better ultimately
Not nearly enough Tim Duncan (part of it himself, and part of it the Hornets defnese), and just not enough overall from the Spurs
Hornets could prove to have the edge in the end, but it's still quite early in the series, and can't see us playing like this much more. That'd really be shocking.

Like I said in the other thread the x-factor, key factor whatever you want to title it will be David West, the Spurs have obsoletely nobody to contain him for extensive amounts of time, New Orleans just matches up extremely well against the Spurs, they held Chris Paul in check for all but the last 3-4 minutes of the game but West destroyed them through out the game.
It will be tough for the Spurs to win this series in all honesty, hopefully they come out victorious

Well that was a whupping in my opinion. They neutralized TD. You got to give them props... we had the lead at the half and they showed that they can take a hit.
We need to do a better job with TD getting the ball in the post. I don't expect another game like this from him again. I remember he had a poor performance vs the Nuggets in the first game and everyone was saying he was already on the decline. I am confident that he will play better.
Anyways I will not lose sleep over this loss...
