Nuggets, Mavs, Suns, Warriors I think all have a chance to regress to some degree. Portland is my team, so im optimistic they get around a 7th- 8th seed. But I wouldn't be shocked if they missed the playoffs by a game or 2. (Would be totally bummed)

I've seen so many posts that have the Mavericks missing out on the playoffs - I really doubt that is going to happen.

You could be right, until the off season really gets underway and we see if some of these teams start wheeling and dealing most of us are doing no more then talk out of are asses.

IMO, Nash will be on his last legs, he will probably average 13 PPG on worse %s and dish out about 8 ast, down in ever statistical category.

Knicks will still suck.

I think Nash's stats will decline - but I still think he'll average around 15/10 at least next year.

People are going to be amazed when they see this team at full health. They're arguably the best team in the NBA without one of the best defensive anchors out there who happened to shoot a league high FG% before he went down. The looks he'll get with Gasol next season will be gimmes.

I honestly believe Bynum could average 16ppg on over 66% next season easily.

Add that and a healthy Trevor Ariza and there is not one skill set that team doesn't have.

The rest of the West is going to be filthy as well. The inevitable emergence of Portland, which I think will be something like the Hornets this season, will be the big story.

Lakers
Hornets
Spurs
Blazers
Dallas
Rockets
Jazz
Suns

Those are the teams I think will make the playoffs (not in order by seed either).

Hey, as long as it keeps working, I could care less.

They should move New Orleans to the East next season.

They moved them out of there already, though.

Yeah. Those guys are still going to play at a high-level (enough in the regular season anyway), and there will be some role-player re-shuffling, naturally because of age-related reasons. Aside from Tiago Splitter and Ian Mahinmi being initiated into the team.

While I readily admit that the Nuggets aren't a very good playoff team, I do get a chuckle out of people every year en masse predicting them to not make the playoffs.

I would bet the farm on my Nuggs making the playoffs next year.

I don't understand how such a knowledgeable fanbase sells us short so consistently? Of course we won't be any good once we get there but for so many people to think we won't make it is utterly asinine.

With all due respect, why? Golden State could easily have overtaken you for the 8th seed. I don't think Denver has a horrible team by any stretch, but to call it asinine when they were proven wrong by such a slim margin seems spurious at best to me.

Rick Carlisle got 50 wins out of a less talented Pistons team. If he's the head coach, Dallas is in the playoffs next year.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
