Couple things...

1) You are calling us over-confident? We all saw the Hou-Uta threads...

2) This kind of post here will be your only one you get. You are more than welcome to post here but if you make more trollish posts then we are going to put an end to it fast. By the looks of it, you have a history of the troll.

Good day,

So what kind of talk is allowed and not being a troll? I've never understood what a troll is, or why its such a bad thing to visit another's team forum. This is the playoffs isn't it?
I just don't want to cross the line so we can have a fun series of bashing and predictions. Tell me Phil_2.0? I'm being 100% serious about this.
I don't see how talking with the competition is a bad thing. Laker fans can handle a little bit of ribbing. I mean most Laker fans feel this is going to be a beating anyway. I think we are up for some fun. As far as me being a troll, that is not true. A troll posts and runs or just throws out crap just for fun.
I'm here to chat and hoping to have some good conversations and ribbing with Laker fans. I do think that the Jazz will upset the Big Bad Lakers, but that's not such a bad thing is it? Jazz in 6 is still the way it is. So get use to it. I will be honest, fair and I hope this will be a fun series for the RealGM posters.

Actually a troll is a poster that makes comments that are ill -intended and can and usually do cause flame wars. They make baiting comments that normally lead to derailing and disrupting of the actual topic.

We welcome all posters to this board and good discussion. However, if you make inflamatory comments that lead to 'flame wars then we are gong to stop that right away.

I'm excited about this series as a whole, since it's been TEN YEARS since Phil and Jerry Sloan met in the playoffs. It will be like the Bulls-Jazz series again with striking similarities:

1. Phil Jackson's Lakers strongly resembles the Championship Bulls - Kobe (MJ) Lamar (Pippen) and Gasol (Luc Longley)

2. Two of the Jazz players strongly resembles Stockton and Malone in Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer

3. MJ was named the league MVP that season.. Kobe Bryant is the MVP this year

I can't wait for this series to begin.. it will be a memorable one for sure!

Good point, actually. There are a lot of similarities. It makes me wonder what might have been if Utah had had Memo instead of The Tag.

I expect the series to go 6, with the Lakers winning if they hold home court for Games 1 and 2, and Utah winning if we can steal one.

We're obviously not going to stop Kobe, so we have to make sure guys like Vujacic and Radmonavic -- whose only reason for being is taking open threes (a la Korver) -- don't get a ton of good looks.

I'd wish you luck, but I'm starting to realize how insulting that is, since I obviously wish you all the bad luck in the world short of a career-changing injury.

- is this a good conversation ?!
You're coming and throwing trash here about Laker fans hoping to have a good conversation ?

Go to see the psychologist !
We're not over-confident, we're just excited that our favourite team is back on top ! Aren't we allowed to make any kind of predictions, to hope for the best ?!
When you have Phil Jackson, Kobe, Pau, Lamar and some decent backups, you sure can hope for the best ! :D

I don't know, maybe some Laker fans who were trolling on your board looked over-confident, but not we !

It's just funny how you judge all us like that because of a poster who came to you and looked "over-confident". !?

You're welcomed to post here anyday, but please, respect the board and ethical rules.

Good luck !

I find it dumb how denver fans hope the jazz to beat us just because we swept them in the first round. Or even if we didnt sweep them and still won the series in 5 or 6, they would still want the jazz to beat us.

When the lakers lost to suns multiple times, I wasnt crying to the clips or whatever to beat the suns. MAN UP and take your loss

Way to keep up on the times slick. Gira has been on 2 teams since utah.

Lamar = Pippen? Malone won the MVP that season.

Let me guess Bynum is rodman? Vujacic is Kerr? Radmonavic is Kukoc?

LOL
It is like Rox fans are hoping for you to beat us.
If anything Denver fans should root for you to beat us, so their lose will look better. :)

Anyway, objectively I feel like LA should take it in 6-7 games.
But Jazz are a young team and full of surprises, so I'll say Jazz in 6, stressing importance of game 1 in this series.
I know that this time Jazz will be prepared and they will execute so let's hope it will be a good competitive game.
The key for us will be not Kobe (who grew up as a player in a last couple of years) but the rest of your team. Kobe will get what he wants but usually we lose to you guys when the rest of the team is scoring.

So good luck and let the better team win.

I just hope that you will not use absence of Bynum as an excuse for your loss ;) (like Rockets fans crying about Yao)

Lakers are 26-4 when Gasol plays more than 3 minutes.

I doubt they go 3-4 or worse this series. Go Lakers!
