Just saw the Magic - Detroit game. If Detroit can make the best 3 point shooting team in the league (and arguably, the team with the best big man) look downright dysfunctional, then perhaps we didn't do such a bad job after all. Maybe we shouldn't be judging Iguodala and Sam's value based on this series. In all fairness, Detroit was the second best team in the league in terms of their record. Now before anyone jumps on me, I'm in NO way saying we should do all we can to improve. I'm just saying that perhaps Detroit was not a good measuring stick to based Iguodala and Sam's worth off of.
By the way, what gives with Rasheed? He's playing out of his mind - and Maxiell too (who plays much bigger than 6'7). Is Flip feeding his team 'roids? Honestly, it seems like no one on their team ever misses - at least since the second half of game four in our series.

Sorry man , Iguodala downright sucked . That's the bottom line. I saw Hedo taking Tayshaun off the dribble again and again and making him work. Andre did a little of that in the last game but ............ Let's be realistic the games we won, Detroit put forth an abysmal effort. When they started playing their game, we had no answers for anything. The Detroit game showed what flaws we have with our team. THey showed us what our guys can and can't do .

Fans will always overreact.
Remember a few months back when building this team through the Detroit blueprint was discussed? That still makes a lot of sense. They have tremendous depth up front, which the Sixers can address this off season via draft/FA. They have length at the swing positions, which is something the Sixers can have if they get a true starting PF (thus moving Thad to SF/Iguodala to SG). They have a dead eye SG, which is where the current Sixers blueprint needs some work. Do you need to move Iguodala to get that player, or does LW give you that scorer and you have Iguodala be more of a Point Forward once Miller is gone, or does Iguodala develop that part of his game further?? That's the tough question.
As far as Prince on Iguodala, if Thad is the SF, that whole matchup changes. Either Iguodala or Thad has an edge if Rip guards them. Hedo is 6'10", Iguodala is 6'6"...you would expect him to get off better shots d/t his length. Iguodala wasn't good in the series, but that height differential is not going to create a good matchup for anyone.

From a Piston fan, I think you have some great pieces. You just need to build around them. I think BK really found some great core young guys to build around. Iggy is a nice player but needs to be a SG and let Thad slide over to SF. Iggy as a SF will always find a longer SF on him that will bother him, moving him over to SG negates alot of his problems offensively in the half court setting.
I really like Andre Miller. I think you guys got a real gem in the Iverson trade. He's a very good PG who can be the vet leader that your young guys will look too for smart decisions and a good attitude.
I don't know what long term plans Philly has for Evans, but finding a strong PF with good rebounding/shotblocking abilities will really help Sam out in the paint. I like Jason Smith too. His offensive game is a thing of beauty... if he ever gets to showcase it. Hopefully Herbert Hill will come back and be able to provide something for you guys.
I think Philly fans have a good young team with a bright future. Good luck and good health next year.

Yes Hedo did not play with fear like Iguodala. Iggy missed a fast break dunk, made horribly bad passes, and didn't take advantage of Detroit's defense when he wasn't double teamed. Joe Johnson was double teamed by Boston and beat the double team with great passing, penetration, and shooting. Iggy just folded up in the fetal position. The Pistons didn't double team Iggy in game 6, they decided to double Willie Green early on instead of Iggy and he still didn't show up while Willie was completely shut down.
But this was nothing new I have been saying since December that Tayshaun owns Iggy. Tayshaun also shot like 100% from the field that series, he always does well against Iggy on both ends of the floor. The other players that own Iggy are Hedo, Gerald Wallace, Lebron, Wade, and Odom.
