Now that Kobe has won MVP....

He will shun his teammates and never pass the ball ever again (what for he is MVP, best player in the league doesnt need to pass the ball)

He will stop listening to Phil (and probably have sex with Jeanie Buss)

Go to Jerry Buss's house and take a dump on his living room floor

Punch Shaq in the face

Put a hit out on Smush and Kwame

So yeah... he will be a little different

Kobe wants to leave the game as the best damn basketball player to glance at a basketball. He didnt change 8 to (23+1) for an MVP award. He didnt drop 81 for an MVP award. He's not learning to share the ball for an MVP award, he's not tryna win the championship for an MVP award. IMO There is only one goal for Kobe and that is to be better than the unborn youngins that are going to be better than Jordan.... so winning one MVP award is just taking one more step up.

He is waiting to get his surgery to after the olympics which I think is really stupid and for his team's sake he should reconsider. He should get surgery right after the season. Now he is going to get it after the olympics.

I think they should have a rule with the olympics because so many players have a tough time staying healthy the following season or are tired they should do 1 of 3 things.

1.Only college kids and some H.S. if they are good enough

2.Only guys who are 25 and younger

3.Players who play in the olympics miss trainging camp and preason.

4. An unwritten rule should be no player plays longer then 15 minutes per game in the olympics and they should extend the roster to 25-30 players or something like that.

They should also shorten the nba season to 70 games. 82 games is way to long. If they are gonna make it 82 games then there should be no back to back games.
uhhhhh......

Kobe might not care too much but his fans do. Hopefully Kobe keeps his mind on what's important, he's been great so far.

I don't think that Kobe needs validation from teamates, coaches, media, or anyone else. In his mind, he's the MVP every year. One doesn't reach Kobe's level without an inner drive to succeed; he doesn't need anyone else to push him.

As such, I don't think that the MVP will have any negative effect on his play, but rather, Kobe will just work harder than ever

Kobe was already a MVP in my book a long time ago. If anything now the league refs can't pretend they didn't see the BS fouls guys pull on him. But mark my words and I'm saying it here first every time the whistle blows for Kobe now some ingrate will swear it's because he's got the MVP.

I didnt read through the whole thread but.....

Kobe will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever lose the chip on his shoulder. It's just who he is. Don't worry, you will get 100% intensity, and one of the hardest workers ever, no matter how many titles or MVP's he gets.

Forget about Kobe loosing interest. Kobe knows that he can be considered one of the best players all time. He wants to be mentioned in the same breth as MJ, Bird, Magic... And for him to acomplish that he needs to win some trophies so I think his list looks like tihis:

MVP check
another NBA ring
Olyimpic gold medal
WC gold medal
Repeat as many times as posible

Yes, the box cutter stays safe in the tool kit, and i still get to have kids one day.

Kobe has been regarded amongst his peers as the best player in the league since he reached his prime 3-4 years ago. The award is nice, but it's just more hardware on a trophy case full of it already.

In other words: i dont think this news affects him one way or another.

It's not official which really pisses me off. Its a regular season award and it's the second round already. Every other award has been done. The award should be handed out on the 82nd game.

Will Kobe act differently now that he is MVP?

You mean will he stop hogging the ball and missing shots at the end of games?

I sure hope so, pass Kobe, pass...
