Its celtics vs cavs, this is a gonna be a tough one, if the Cavs shooters are off Celtics in 5 if not it could be a long series Lebron is good enough for at least 1 and probably 2 wins on his own, however I dont really think they can defend us. Big Z has always been a problem for us as he can shoot right over pretty much all of our guys. Its going to come down to Delonte and wally and after watching the hawks series, the refs.

I say 29 PPG on 43% shooting.
and 14 FTA per game.

I was more worried about the way the Wizards handled us than the Cavs during the reg season. We were handled by the Wizards.

So James = two good players worth of stats with his nearly triple double, 30ppg production.

For us, we should be able to abuse Wally and Delonte, and Big Ben is playing less than half of the games with 3ppg, hell, Baby kept Z out of the paint last time we played them...

I like our chances against older players like Wallace, Z and Wally than guys that can run for 4 quarters.

Wallace/Garnett ought to be interesting..

We match up great with the Cavs, I think we'll win in six (we had the best road record in the league during the regular season so we have to win at least one game on the road, right?).

I would put KG on Big Z to nullify his height advantage over Perk and put Perk on Big Ben.

If Ray Allen's shot comes/is back for this series, he can be the difference maker. There's just no way Wally can cover him (unless his shot is way off like it's been the last 2 games). He scored 22 on 7-10 shooting, 5-6 from the line and 3-5 from 3 against Wally in the only meeting against the Cavs where they had Wally/Delonte/Wallace/Smith.

I'd use KG as a roamer who can help out a lot on LeBron. Wallace doesn't even finish his layups well, ignore him.

A big factor in this series is rebounding IMO. The Cavs are a very good offensive rebounding team and we have to keep them off the glass. I also would like us to give Lebron a lot of different looks. That means put Pierce, Posey and TA on him for different parts of the game. And on the offensive end, Pierce has to be really aggresive since Lebron is probably going to be defending him and it would be big if we can wear him out a bit on the defensive end.

Rondo found Garnett underneath for an emphatic dunk -- and the menacing gesture that will surely earn Garnett a fine from the league office -- with 3:05 left in the third.

The Celts won this series and the Eastern Conference during the offseason. Anything can happen and I'm hoping the Cavs can pull off a miracle, but no one in their right mind can logically justify picking the Cavs to win this series unless Boston suffers a key injury.

I pick Boston to sweep, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Cavs might get one at home. Unfortunately for Cleveland the Hawks awoke a giant and Boston is going to have series focus on the road because going into Cleveland the story will be that they haven't won a road playoff game yet.

The Cavs really don't even know what their shooting guard rotation is going to be going into this. They don't know what Sasha can give them. Zerby isn't a consistent player and neither is Devin. Mike Brown is still struggling with figuring out how to balance the rotation of Ben Wallace, Anderson Varejao and Joe Smith. I don't know how a team can expect to make it to the finals without knowing what their rotation is going to be.


There are some interesting matchups West, Rondo... the chosen one hate's paul pierce, KG likes to talk a lot of smack and Perk vs. Z. This is the series we've been waiting for since December so I'm still excited to see how/if the Cavs can shock the world, but I'm not expecting it. I would consider it a miracle if the Cavs somehow won this series.

Probably, and the league thought it meant KG is in a Paul Pierce's gang and "I'm going to kill you".

The NBA cracked down on the throat slash years ago and recently a couple players have done it. They are going to escalate the fines and tell the refs to call techs on it. I remember when the throat slash was the hot thing to do a few years ago. Chris Childs was the one who did it the most I believe, it filtered down into college and high school, the NBA did not like that at all.

I think as the series progresses you'll see less and less of Wally and Big Ben as they are just terrible matchups against our starters.

By the time we hit Cleveland I'm guessing Devean Brown and Joe Smith will be getting the bulk of the minutes at their respective positions w/ Boobie getting more and more minutes as the series progresses as well.

On the Celtics side we may see some of Big Baby early on, but not as much as alot of fans maybe expecting (I think PJ will split alot of the time on Big Z w/ Perk instead of Baby).

I say this thing goes at least 6 w/ both teams having an equal chance at winning it.
