I wouldn't go that far as to say a shut down defender. But he does give good effort and never quits on plays. He also has active hands to knock balls away from other players.

To be fair though, the lakers have played great help defense thus far.

Now hold on, you may be right about Boozer, But Deron is cold as hell, I'd honestly take that dude over Chris Paul any damn day. To be averaging that numbers that he has in a structured system where the ball isn't in his hands 90% of the time like chris paul, and his good man to man defense, I'd take that dude anyday.

I'd agree that I would take Deron over Paul.

Deron's missed some shots, but he's playing fine. The first off is all on Boozer, and to a lesser extent, Korver and Harpring. They played pretty damn bad.

Lay off Lamar... I know for a fact that he's seventy-five times more intelligent than Kevin Garnett, who still doesn't know he only won Defensive Player of the Year.

The only reason he is here is to hate. All his posts in this thread are hating on Kobe, Lamar and the Lakers generaly

Jackson can put Kobe on Deron all series because LA can get points from anywhere (except for maybe Lamar's jumpshots) on offense.

The Lakers have benefited from bonehead plays by the Jazz, but you're right that the Lakers played very strong team defense. They did a good job clogging the middle.

Would you guys really take Deron over Chris Paul?? I would take CP3 in a heartbeat. Both good players. But to me, it's like choosing between Kobe and Paul Pierce. Both good players, but one is just clearly head and shoulders better.

Why does Sloan even bother putting Brewer on Kobe just keep AK on him and play zone. It prevents post game and makes it a shooting game which lakers haven't been doing well.

Ok.. I know it's unfair... but NBA season is over for the Rockets... face it... just go watch baseball or something... post about the next 2008 draft in the Rockets forum.... take it as a man.... you won't win a playoff series until you get rid of Lazy Mac Greedy...
