How would you rate the 2008 Hornets compared to the 2006 Mavs? I am asking this question because latter were the last team to defeat the Spurs.
2008 HORNETS
C - Chandler / Ely
PF - West / Ryan Bowen
SF - Stojakovic / Wright
SG - Peterson / Wells
PG - Paul / Pargo
2006 MAVS
C - Diop / Dampier
PF - Dirk / Van Horn
SF - Josh Howard / Griffin
SG - Terry / Stackhouse
PG - Harris / Daniels
FYI, the Mavs defeated the Spurs because Harris fought TP to a standstill, Howard was as effective as Ginobili, Bowen could not stop Dirk, and Terry and Stackhouse were pretty clutch. TD averaged 32 ppg but Damp/Diop at least made him work for those points. Avery vs Pop also was equal.
I think that the Hornets have an even better chance to take the Spurs. They are individually stronger at C and PG, and they have homecourt advantage, something the Mavs did not have.

Dirk played well v.s the Hornets..
Yea, but he didn't will his team to victories like in 2006 against SA.
