Good win by the lakers. I thought we were going to come out flat today with all the days off, but we came out firing. Thanks to Kobe. Pau is going to have to give a bigger effort than today if we want to win the series. Lakers just need to defend their home court.
I don't know why people keep saying sweep. It's going to be a good series IMO. I think the only sweep that's going to happen this round is the SPURS. I see CP3 Tyson Chandler and Ddavid west being too much for them. They're too physical for them.

i'm pretty sure it's mostly bitter rockets fans pulling out the "sweep" card. i honestly see this game going to seven, at least six, and i give the jazz a legitimate shot. they're going to have to study some tapes and keep harpring from shooting pull-up jumpers though.
Lakers played well enough for the win today, gg.

This is so wrong, that some fans think that their players are Angels who don't foul and don't play "dirty"
Your players are pushing when going for a rebound like everyone else.
I'm sick and tired of this "Me holly you not" attitude.
That's not it.
Of course every team fouls - the Jazz just happen to be getting away with it a lot more - the same way teams like Detroit, Clevland and Boston get away with it more often. They have a rep and they and they are allowed to play the way they are identified with.
All I said in my last post is tbhat I hope the Lakers start playing the Jazz a little more their own style and are allowed the same measures of physical play. I want to see our guys make some Jazz players start to hit the floor hard. Real hard.
Otherwise I'm done arguing this. The Lakers are soft and the Jazz are hacks...it will be interesting which way the officiating momentum will direct through out the series.

Good to see Lakers win, there seem to be a little too many obnoxious Utah fans, hope this humble a few of them.
Great game though, Kobe didn't do so well in some stretch of that 4th quarter but his teammates were there to clean things up, especially Gasol. Fun, even series. I expect it to go to at least 6 games.

The thing is that Jazz are not allowed. Kobe shot 23 FT if you didn't noticed.
How the JAzz are hacks, did you really see so many more hacks by Jazz palyers than LA players?
Go watch the tape again, maybe you will stop puling arguments out of ... never mind

Dam the FT attempts for Kobe. The problem is they can't guard Kobe the way they guarded McGrady. McGrady isn't as aggressive as Kobe so he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. But Kobe does. They were trying to do all the things they did to bother McGrady against Kobe. Just didn't work and it won't work. So unless the Jazz find some sort of legit Kobe stopper this series is over in 5. Utah will take game 3 with all the emotion. Lakers will bounce back in game 4.

Yeah, I think this game is not the kind of Jazz team we'll be seeing. I don't expect them to shoot sub 40% again and take care of the ball that poorly. They're a significant upgrade from the Lakers 1st round opponent and I think we'll have ourselves quite an amusing series.
My inner homer of course still says Lakers in 6, but I wouldn't be shocked if this went to 7 games.
