We're on a roll at home. Cavs come in flat from days off. Celtics 1-0.

I was just reading the ESPN recap of Game 7, and saw this:

Rondo found Garnett underneath for an emphatic dunk -- and the menacing gesture that will surely earn Garnett a fine from the league office -- with 3:05 left in the third.

Cleveland is on its third consecutive road game in Game 2, and we'll have had 3 straight at home. Changing crowds will give them some problems. But on the other hand, they have had a practice to get ready and 4 days of rest. But that could also be an advantage for us.

So glad that we don't have to play the Hawks anymore and it's a new team.

They'll be more rested then us, but we did have an early game today, have a day off tomorrow and have the crowd behind us hopefully carrying us to a W.

Rest isn't that important in the playoffs and they'll have their groove because of what they had to do in game seven.

Plus games 1,2, 5 and 7 the big three only play like 28 mins because they were blowouts

No I can't remeber a thing.

I remeber seeing a replay of Garnett tuging his shirt and saying to the crowd it's over.

That was whenever he got that AND1 I believe... off the pass from Pierce not Rondo.

Pierce got fined because a timeout was called and he walked towards the ATL bench and went all the way to halfcourt before he was brought back by the human victory cigar. I think the menancing gesture was more of just something to point out rather then the main cause of a fine.

On a side note,Big Z and Wally have to be the palest combo in a starting lineup this year.

the biggest keys to this series is...contain their 3 point shooters, dont let em get hot. & try to keep big Z as quiet as possible. he's gonna be a monster on the offensive boards & we have no size to match up against him. he might have a big series. but we cant let wally & west & gibson beat us.

Should be a great series. We got in trouble in ATL by letting them get on the offensive glass and Cleveland is a great rebounding team so we definitely need to keep that in check. Offensively we should look to whoever Wally is guarding, most likely Ray. Id ran Ray around a lot of picks through the offense as we all know Wally is a bit slow and definitely not a defensive stopper. But as we all know this offense runs through Pierce. When Pierce is cresting our offense is on a different level. Hopefully Pierce can create some offense for the others and also hopefully pick up some fouls on Lebron while taking it to the rim. Should be a lot of fun to watch.

On Friday I was happy as a Cavs fan to see you guys going to Game 7 cause I knew you would win and have to play on short rest......but after that butt kicking they are going to come out with alot of confidence.......not good for Cavs fans.

Easy explanation, some of the wire service stringers are not above editorializing. And - surprise - they are not all Celts fans... LOL.

I've seen it before, a month or two ago where the wire story claimed The Cs won because they got away with a non-call/foul. Having actually witnessed the game I knew it was a crock. Same applies here I expect.

Wow. This shouldn't come as a shock, but I still can't get over how mediocre the Cavs' starting five is.

Contain LeBron to only scoring 35, keep Z off the glass, sic anyone we have on Wally to completely neutralize him, guard the perimeter, make Delonte go right, keep the intensity up, stay out of foul trouble, Cs win by single digits in a physical game.

LeBron always plays well against the Celtics, so that scares me a bit, but there's no reason for the Cs' home dominance to come to an end.

This is going to be one tough series....

How much is it going to help that we had half the Cavs team on our roster?

I'd say knowing what West etc can do should help alot. It works out even better that they weren't here when KG and Allen were traded so our team will have a completely differnt look to what the former Cletic players are used to.
