You mean, the Detroit team that also lost a couple games in what should've been a sweep?

They have a legit excuse(They barley played the last month of the season, averaging about 18mpg, and had to play themselves into game sahpe in the first few games) and they completly creamed the Sixers, ON THE ROAD, in an elimination game.

The Celts did NOT. Dont compare a title team, that has won game sevens on the road, lost game sevens on the road, closed out teams on the road, e.t.c. with a team that hasnt done jack-crap but close out a 37-win team AT HOME.

The Cletics havnt proved ****. They have known playoff chokers, and have no expereince in the playoffs as a team.

Lets see how they come out against the Cavs. The Pistons have a "been there done that" Kind of attitude, becuase they have been there done that for 7 YEARS. The Celtics should be hungry, and striving for a title, not throwing the ball away in the 4th, and missing wide open shots.

That's not true. At all.

The Hawks had a home record of 25-16. Putting them in a 5 way tie for the 14th best home record. Not mentioning that they're 20th in terms of attendance% and total attendance. The Hawks were a slightly below-average (being kind) home team in the regular season. Hardly "one of the best".

Boston should've swept Atlanta easily. It is a travesty that the series was the last first round series.

Hawks are much better than anyone gives them credit for. Mike Bibby's impact has been under the radar, and Joe Johnson continues to be underrated.

Idk if LeBron beating the Celtics would be an upset even if BOS swept ATL.

LeBron did make top 4 team in the East and general it's one of the top 4 teams at the end of the season that represents the confrence at the NBA finals.

Then you add that he still is the defending champion of the East.

His point was it was a 66 win team, which still would have probably gotten the number 1 seed even if they played in the West, going 7 gms against a 37 win team that really has no business in the playoffs..

I happen to agree with him,,

Thought?

The Celtics can lose every road game this year, it wouldn't matter because as long as they win every home game they will win the championship.

This is stupid. If the Celtics are not worthy they will be spanked out of the playoffs. Just because they went 7 games with the Hawks doesn't mean there not good.

The Spurs won the title with the team giving them there toughest test was the 8 seeded Suns. The Suns went to the Finals after loosing the first 2 games at home against a 8 seed.

I remember when the Sonics lost to the 8 seeded Nuggets. If you ask me that day doesn't happen the Sonics would have won the world title. They just happen to face a team in the first round that matched up perfectly with them. Maverick fans probably feel the same way. The Celtics job was to go to the second round. If they beat the Cavs and then perhaps the Pistons and go on to do great things do people really think this series will be remembered all that much.

The Hawks athleticism attacked the Celtics biggest weakness. That said there 4th quarter struggles isn't the end of th eworld. The reality is the Celtics lead for almost this entire series. Despite being just a 37 win team they never had a home court advantage like that. Hawks aren't better than what people think. Just shows perhaps Hawk fans should support that team and maybe they win more than 37 games.
