Your Celtics choice of player for MVP round by round
My choice for the Celtics from the first round is Rajon Rondo.
In six playoffs games...
31.0 MINS, .432 FG%, .750 FT%, 11.8 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 7.5 APG, 1.8 SPG and 1.1 TO
2007-2008 season averages
29.9 MINS, .492 FG%, .611 FT%, 10.6 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 5.1 APG, 1.7 SPG and 1.9 TO
In today's playoffs game...
29:47 minutes, 4-5 field goals, 2-2 free throws, 10 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and no turnovers.
Not bad for his playoffs debut and for a second-year player who was deemed the main question mark for Boston before the playoffs by the national pundits and local media.
Hopefully, Boston will make good on their home court advantage throughout the playoffs and I can give my choice of player MVP for each round before the NBA finals.

I'd go with Garnett, but I think there is a case for any of KG, Pierce or Rondo.
No one had a truly dominant series for us and sticks out as an easy winner, but KG led us in scoring, rebounding, PER and +/-. He also led us in steals, held Smith under 40% shooting in the end and chipped in with 4 assists per game to boot.
