Heres what I don't get...

First off, **Throws up pound to fellow Celtics fans** I want to say I enjoyed every second of todays game. Its been a tough week for all of us, and the right team prevailed in the end.

But heres what I don't get,

HOW COME WE CAN DO THAT IN BOSTON, BUT NOT IN ATLANTA!!! LOL. Why is our team so drastically different at home?

The celtics organization wanted to make more $ so had the team throw games 2 3 and 5...ya thats the best answer I can come up with

I am still frustrated w/ the atlanta. They really tried to punk the celtics by cheating and it would have worked had they had homecourt advantage..
That was embarrasing. 47 free throws says it all.. not to mention the shot clock. I dont think boston faced adversity in atlanta. They got jobbed..

If we sweep cleveland then you will know im right..

LOL if you think we got jobbed in atlanta, just wait till we roll into Lebron Arena.

I hear the refs are planning on inventing a new foul. The hand signal is the ref getting down on his knees and pretending to roll out a rug. The foul is "not rolling out the red carpet for Lebron on a drive to the basket."

The difference was the Hawks not the C's. If the Hawks could play like they did in those 3 games in ATL every night they would win 50 games.

Yeah I know. Some of the stuff the league did for him in the Wizards series is unheard of. They issued a warning to the Wiz that there would be an automatic suspension if anyone hit LeBron in the head. It must have been okay to hit the other Cavs though, and it was okay for LeBron to hit the Wizards in the head without him getting a suspension. If that's not the NBA putting an individual before the team, what is?

I think where the Wizards messed up is they publicly said that they were going to be physical with LeBron. After that the microscope was on them and the refs were just searching for calls.

Haha, no ****. What pissed me off in the Cle/Was series was in the game when Haywood got tossed for the hard foul on LeBron, EVEN THE ANNOUNCERS ON TNT said that "if that was a lesser player, not LeBron, that's probably only a flagrant 1 and no ejection, but because it was LeBron..." Did I miss when he was declared god of the universe?

There are always three teams on the court. In this case the Celtics, the Hawks and the NBA. When the NBA is neutral, the Celtics are going to win the vast majority of those games. When Josh Smith can crash into Rondo from behind, block the shot and have a foul called on Rondo, in those games in Atlanta, we are going to have a tough time.

For the record, I thought the seventh game was called in the Celtics favor a bit. We didn't need the help.

Atlanta's franchise value has gone up 10's of millions. We needed the experience and the seasoning. It was a win-win-win.

LTF, I didn't even pay attention to the officiating in game seven because it was such a bloodbath. You might be right on that, and if you are, it pisses me off even more. The NBA: Where Predetermined Outcomes Happen!

First off you haev to credit Atlanta for stepping up at home. They showed fight and determination that is always great to see in a young team.

Second home court advantage is HUGE. In the playoffs the goal is to protect home court advantage. You win every game at home and any game you take on the road is gravy. I would've rather had a 4 game sweep and gotten the chance to rest our guys. But Atlanta wanted to make it a series. And even with the blowouts in Boston they made it a series.

Third Lebron is the x-factor since he'll be getting superstar treatment. Even in Boston. Doesn't matter that the road games in the playoffs tend to be stacked towards the home team. We need to take a game in Cleveland just in case. Cleveland is no team to snooze on. Just ask Detroit last year.

I thought the reffing was pretty fair in game 7, game 1, game 2 (except for the 4th quarter), game 5, and parts of game 4. Game 6 was a travesty of epic proportions, it reminded me of the Lakers-Kings game 6 in 2002 where the Lakers go 20-25 FTs in the THIRD QUARTER ALONE to get them back into the game:

Taget, you are 100% right--or more! The Celtics have to take one on the road in this series because Cleveland is actually capable of winning in Boston, with or without the help of the striped-shirted ones.

This series was a lot like soccer friendly . A lot of these games were almost exhibition games.

The Celtics are very much of an NBA brand. This team had never been in a playoff. We're about to step onto the big stage. We needed this series to season us. It was in everybodies interest that this went seven games. The outcome was never in doubt. Our reserves beat them on their court.

That's an interesting take LTF, but the lack of a road win still concerns me a bit. Still, it seems like it was just a bad match-up, and I'm sure that things will be different in Cleveland.

I don't want to take anything away from Atlanta, though: for three games they played out of their minds against the best team in the East.
