Magic get last laugh while G. Hill missed another chance.

Bianchi is quite the idiot writer but this has to rank right up there as the silliest. We just got blown out by Detroit in a way that has some fearing a sweep. Who in his right mind believes Grant would have preferred losing to his old team again? Maybe wait to see what happens in our series. The crazy move by Suns to trade for the aged and way past his prime Shaq was what sunk the Suns. Still what Bianchi has proven is that in addition to being one of the worst sports writers in the country he only matches that "achievement' by his degree of classlessness. laughing at anyone being injured is just bush league.

I on the other hand do not see the Magic getting sweep by the Pistons as you seem to fear. One game does not mean a sweep.
I still see the Magic winning this series in 6 games.
And at least the Magic made it to the next round Hill is home because the Suns could not get past the first round and wasn't the reason he left was because he wanted to be on a team that could win.
And now the Suns are facing the same problems that the Magic faced the injury bug.
Maybe Hill should just retire and spend some real quality time with his wife and kids.

Well Detroit was his second choice after Phoenix...

Don't know why he thought Phoenix had a shot, they don't get the concept of defense.

it's ironic how it all happened, and he's right, one can only wonder what might have been with dwight/t-mac/hill...we also would have gotten hedo and we would have still had jameer and maybe even dooling but we would have had bogans...oh well, we won 52 this year and next year it will probably go up to 55 and above

Not me, I was thrilled when he left.

And I wasn't mad at him for not playing a final year here.......

It was time to move on.....no matter who did the pushing.

I wouldn't laugh at his misfortune though.

Perhaps - no strike that there is no perhaps - that is a decision for Grant, His wife and family to make not an unknown anonymous forum poster.

Honestly why people continue to beat this whole issue is beyond me. First off the Magic were not offering Hill the kind of involvement he had at Phoenix. Secondly Just like Grant said at the time the move was best for both sides - a fact confirmed yet again by Stan recently saying it was for the best of the team. So what this always comes down to is sour grapes over Hill being injured. Nothing else and its petty.

Bottom line is the West is alot harder than the East and we haven't reached anywhere yet. Getting to the second round and so far not competing doesn't mean a thing. lets concentrate on getting a win because saying the Magic in 6 is just talk. Doing it is a lot harder.

My suggestion instead of chasing that brass ring until your body can't take it anymore is retire and enjoy life like with wife and kids. And that was not a put down nor am I trying to make a decision for him, but to knock others because you just love to is very rude of you and doesn't surprise me.

it's no question, outside of his financial situation, grant hill is one the unluckiest athlete in recent years.
