Stern showed up

Post#1 » by stretch » Sun May 4, 2008 9:42 pm

he said in Atlanta that we had plenty of time, we would be hanging around for a while when asked if he would show up in Boston. I mean, everybody thought that

Yet with the series going to 7 and biggest upset ever looming, he actually showed up and was enjoying himself during that statement game

Given his history of how much he always professes to "love the Celtics", I guarantee he was a little saddened by the outcome...

He just seems too smarmy/slick and detached. Like "here I am deigning to lower myself to attending the games and sitting in the stands with you mere mortals"

He also must know how hated he is in Boston and has been the last 20+ years...

I would have heckled the hell out of him if I saw him in person.

I will NEVER forgive him for forcing us to carry Reggie Lewis' cap figure years after he had passed away.

What about forcing us to carry Len Bias'? Or Vin Bakers'? Yet Alonzo Mourning has to retire due to his kidney ailment and his cap number in Miami is wiped clean. Same with the other teams with players who died (Nets, TWolves).

Yeah, he really "loves" the C's...loves to screw them!
