Question about Childress

Post#1 » by BRIGGS » Mon May 5, 2008 1:25 pm

I liked Childress for the full MLE for the Knicks early in this year. I have to *think* that Atlanta would either match or offer slightly more--lets say 6.5mm per+

Where is the question? I think if Chill is offered the full mle, Atlanta will match easily.

Yes, Childress at the MLE would be an easy decision to match. Few teams can exceed that offer right now and they have other priorities.

Also, don't be so sure the Knicks use their full MLE. Part of Donnie Walsh's recovery is to have cap room when some big name free agents come up in a couple years. Signing band-aids to the full MLE don't help that process.

how would they offer more anyway?

Childress is NOT a good fit for the Knickerbockers if yall are going to keep Chandler and Balkman on the roster.

They are all a little too similar... Childress is a lot more polished but they way they operate without the ball is similar.

We've got to shop Chillz a little. I think there would be some teams out there willing to give up some serious value for him via S&T.
