The league was finally able to get the hawks going again, and they didn't want the celtics to just sweep them and kill any fans hope

I hope the Cs worked out a deal to get some of those calls back in the next one.

I could see all this as a drama.

Lakers beat the Jazz and go to the western finals with the hornets (7 games series). because the refs helped them like they did with atlanta.

The Cs play fair games and make it.

7 Games series Laker - Celtics and blood is all over the place.
NFL fans are now feeling what NBA fans been living for a while...

^To be fair, the Hawks do have some talent and did play very well in their 3 home games (reminding me of that Beatles song, "With a Little Help From the Refs...I mean My Friends).

Horford, Smith, Childress, those guys are legit PLAYERS! Kudos to them for taking us that far, with or without the extra "boost" they got from the home cookin'.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Can't forget Johnson--he's a big-time player for sure.

I wouldn't say that the refs have a particularly large effect on the outcome in basketball.

In soccer and football, there are very few scores. Getting a single score, or maybe two, from the refs is COMMONLY the deciding factor in a game.

Basketball refs have to work a lot harder to accomplish the same things ... :)

But heres what I don't get,

HOW COME WE CAN DO THAT IN BOSTON, BUT NOT IN ATLANTA!!! LOL. Why is our team so drastically different at home?

Part of me thinks the NBA wanted a 7 game series to help ATL sell tickets for next season.

I normally don't complain about the refs, but in Game 6, they were atrocious. The FT disparity was made for conspiracy theorists.
