Gordon, Deng, Tyrus Thomas are going to love it.

I think Hinrich will love it also

Bulls have the athletes to run his system. And I think the Bulls are going to be very successful. They have had defensive teaching for years with Skiles, and now they will have one of the best offensive systems in the league

It's not official; D'Antoni WANTS to coach them, but it's not official.

Any defense they learned under Skiles is out the door if it wasn't already.

Bulls can't shoot like the Suns. Phoenix was 1st in the league in 3pt%, 2nd in FG%, and 1st in Inside shots.

I think that Ben Gordon and Larry Hughes would really do well under D'Antoni though. They strike me as having similar games to Joe Johnson, and Q Rich, who were both very good while in Phoenix.

It's a perfect fit, if Hinrich and Gordon stay at the team, D'antoni is not championship material and the Suns only have 1 more year to win...

dantoni is a good coach. the proof is out there now however, that they were not a better team with the trade. so the signs of dantoni leaving were there, and this phoenix run at being one of the elite teams in the league is now thankfully over.

In all fairness to D'Antoni, the suns players are not defensive minded at all, so no matter how good is your defensive philosophy as coach, you still need the right players to execute, the system or the game plan, if it is not executed it won't work. Plain and simple. so I'll reserve my judgment on his defensive philosophy, until he gets players who can actually play some defense.

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Have you not watched D'Antoni coached teams or heard any of his interviews? His defensive philosophy is to outscore your opponents.

The interesting part will be WHO coaches Phoenix now?

Maybe good old Avery gets a chance considering two things.

1) Maybe he was wrongly dismissed for the NOH series, considering how NOH is dismantling the Spurs

and

2) He's a defensive minded type of coach

However, knowing them, a name that might pop up is Jeff Van Gundy.

Great fit for 4 years or so, Sefolosha, Tyrus, Deng, Gordon, Hinrich will be really fun to watch take off at all speeds, and they should definitely go back to a contender in the East.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls draft that italian kid, Danilo Gallinari, and try to make him a NBA (hybrid) power forward... Damn it... I was kind of hoping Gallinari would fall to the Nets...

The only hope of this working is if Nash comes along with, which he isn't....
