This is splendid. I think that he represents us very well. He may not be as affable as Oden, but I would prefer Durant's personality representing the franchise. One can tell that Durant takes things seriously, more like Bryant or Jordan would. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Oden, but sometimes his affability can seem a little bit immature and distracting, kind of like Arenas.

Well, that may have also been the case last year. But recall what a happy day that was!

I think last year the whole NW was crying tears of joy.

What a great oppurtunity to revamp the old rivalrys of seattle/portland. Too bad that hype may all be gone. Need a new rival blazers? We will hate OKC with you.

You know, I am probably being too hard on Oden. His affability has never really been distracting or immature the way Arenas' has. Even so, Arenas' personality is hardly a detriment. It is usually a benefit to have a really personable star representing your franchise.

All I was trying to say is that I probably prefer a franchise player to have Durant's personality. He is not a potty-mouth (like Garnett), yet he takes things really seriously like Garnett or Kobe, he is a good competitor with a great work ethic. Of course, I would hate to have a franchise player with a bad attitude - which that is not the case with players like Arenas and Oden (and probably James).

I think Clay Bennett was scared he'd get booed if he showed up for the lottery drawing.

Too bad. I was looking forward to that tender moment when Bennett and Stern hugged and kissed after it was announced the Sonics landed #1.

In all seriousness, Frozenropers, that is probably exactly why Bennett does not want to represent the Sonics this year.

sonics will probably get the top pick. Last year Boston was in their position and ended up with the #5 pick. I don't think it's likely that happens again this year. Top 2 pick... Rose or Beasley.

I must admit, Larb, that I do not understand what you are trying to say. But, in any case, I will assume the best and thank you for your kind words. I take it, you are wishing us good luck.

I agree, answered the Beasley question very well, and looked professional. Didnt pout, or do something weird when Seattle got pick #4.

I concur. By contrast, Shawn Carter answered questions like an idiot. I would hate to have him representing my team.
