Would you do this?

Would you deal Martin for Brand if the opportunity presented itself?

Where do I sign?

^ I don't!

I'm all over this deal! The problem is we'd need an upgrade from Beno at the PG. This move would signal a win NOW mode, and we'd need a better PG. Actually I'd recommend it be a Jason Terry or Derek Fisher type. A combo guard with good handles and a good on the ball defender. Since we'll have Miller IMO we don't need a pure distributor.

I just think that defensively we'd be a way better team with this lineup:

Terry (I'm not pushing for him specifically, but for my argument we need a Terry type)
Garcia
Artest
Brand
Miller

Not only is that a good rebounding team, but it should be a good on the ball defensive team as well. This group could be extremely versatile and score from a lot of places on the floor. We could methodically beat people down on the regular, and play a bunch of different styles!

Would Russel Westbrook fit that bill at PG for you...I think Beno/Westbrook would be a nice combo with that line-up, since I think a Terry - esque player is unreasonable to obtain(at least THIS season).

I'd put it like this:

C: Miller/Hawes
PF: Brand/Williams
SF: Artest/Garcia
SG: Salmons/Douby
PG: Beno/Westbrook

That team has some potential for the here and now and the future.
