I suppose but I am leaning to - the it doesn't matter that much theory. Garnett just doesn't feel like doing it. Heck Pierce beat Horford in a jump ball so its not even a matter of length.. Sometimes it's just luck as the guy throwing it up can screw up..

Which happens a lot in the NBA...how hard is it to do a fair jump ball? The answer is it's not!

KG just beat Zydrunas in their jump ball and Perkins lost the opening tip... lol
