Good game Boston.....This will be an exciting series

Post#1 » by DowJones » Wed May 7, 2008 3:07 am

Ray Allen and LeBron James both had horrible games. LeBron had some great looks, especially at the end, but they just rimmed out. I think Boston did a great job of team defense.

This game 1 reminded me almost exactly like the Game 1 last year against Detroit. I think we are going to be in for an exciting 6 or 7 games. The game tonight could have gone either way. I think the play of the game was the missed bucket for LeBron which Cassel somehow got fouled by Z.

My guess is that both LeBron and Ray play MUCH better in game 2.

thanks! i was just gonna come over and post the same thing on your guys' board haha. this is gonna be a fun series to watch for sure. i expect to see all of our stars (james, allen, pierce, KG) ready to play on thursday...i predict a much more offensively active game.

anyways, good game!

I don't think either team feels like they brought their best stuff tonight. We were lucky to escape with a win with Paul and Ray shooting like they did.

I agree that when Z kneed Cassell in the head, it was a really stupid move. It really changed the tide of the game.

Good game? The game was absolutely terrible! Unwatchable for the most part! At least it was close and most importantly we won!

Z didn't get called for the knee, he was called for something else. The knee happened after the play.

I think it was a brutal game, but still exciting to watch. It was back and forth for the entire 2nd half. It wasn't well played, but it was exciting.

Cleveland and Boston are both very good defensive teams and both teams rebound VERY well.

What an interesting game, hard to predict how things will go from here.

LeBron will clearly bounce back, but Pierce and Allen should too. I kind of feel like the Celtics offense was more off, on the whole, than the Cavs today, but I'm biased.

Ilgauskas was tough like always - PJ Brown definitely did a good job on him, I think this is the series where he will be useful. He is sure a liability on offense though.

Mike Fratello really tried to jinx Posey at the end there - "Posey is a great clutch free throw shooter at the end of games." - and he still knocked them down!!

Rondo sure was eating up West at first, then Gibson seemed to control him better? Reminded me of the first Detroit game this year when Rondo got to the rim at will in the first quarter, but things closed up the rest of the game.

looks like a long grind it out type series. Both teams will continue to win on the other's home court and it will likely come down to late execution on the winner of this series.

Your sig is great.

This game was horrible to watch. The only good thing is that the Celtics won.

I was more surprised at how many shots Paul missed. I have no idea why fans of other teams always assume that Ray Allen is our #1 scorer or something.

I would like to start of by saying the Celtics couldn't have played worse offensively and still won. What does that tell ya? Well once Paul, who I thiknk is hurt, and ray get it together they will be unstopable.

Thank GOD KG and and Rondo played the way they did.

What about Pierce? Did he have a great game? Is 2-for-14 great?
