Im about to place a wager in Nevada. Finals ???

Post#1 » by Shocker00 » Wed May 7, 2008 4:41 pm

Im thinking of placing a wager on the Lakers and Celtice to make the Finals. Lakers best record in the West, Celtics best record in the East. The NBA would love nothing more than a Celtic vs Lakers final for quite a few reasons. They would revive a Laker vs Celtic rivalry from years past. There both big market teams. Kobe is the MVP and Garnett was third in voting. It's all about the money in my opinion. I figure I might as well make some easy money and place a wager. What do you guys think ? What teams would you place a wager on ?

go for it..but you'd have to bet a lot to get any real money out of it, since there's no value in a Lakers-Celtics bet..it's the most likely scenario with the best odds at this point, since the Spurs are down 2-0..

easier bet is to place the under for the next Cavs and Boston game. (well it depends on what they decide)

I have approx 12000 that I can bet and feel safe with the bet. Might as well get free money. I generally do very well as far as Sports bets go. I started with a bankroll of 1000 dollars and have built it up to what I have today. Your probably right that there is not much return but hey I will take 4 or 5 thousand dollars.

I would not bet 12,000 on a Lakers-Celtics finals.

To me the teams with the HC Advantage are the favorites to reach the finals. And as history shows HC does matter.

I wouldn't make that bet; Pistons could very well beat the Celtics.

I've got Detroit and the Lakers. I just don't see Boston beating them 4 times. I was not impressed with their performance against the Hawks and the Pistons look to be surging.

I'm a huge gambler as well, but 12 000 might be too much to bet on an outcome of 2 different teams reaching the finals, when they both still have to get by the semis and the conference finals..

sometimes you have to bet with your gut though, and if you have the feeling that it will come through, then go for it..Boston-LA is the favored matchup, and if you feel comfortable betting that much money on it, then go for it..good luck..

HaHa, I told you it would be the Lakers vs Celtics. What the league wants the league gets. Yeah Boston and the Lakers had the best records but thier was still no chance the league was going to let anyone else win. The NBA is a business and they will do whatever is best for the league(themselves). This was a easy for sure bet with very little risk. The league was not going to let the oppurtunity of having a Laker Celtic rematch slip away. I hope some of you took my advice and won a bunch of money. By the way the odds was not great but I won approx 6300.00. I think the league did't want either series to goto game 7 because there is always a chance for an upset and thats why you seen both series end in game 6.
